    You are the best teachers... we were dancing some of those sacadas, sometimes good, sometimes not so much. Your explanation helps a lot to do it better... Thank you.

    Two to three weeks ago theTango instructors were teaching the Sacadas. My timimg was a bit slow, but I was able to do it in the classroom.
    Not so at a Milonga. The first two ladies moved way to fast fir me to do anything.
    The third I actual tripped the lady, so and I
    Decided to stop doing them.

    • @frantiseklaluch6605
      @frantiseklaluch6605 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello Tom, yes, timing is very hard sometimes. To slow down ladies is very common issue for me too. So I just slow, firm embrace a bit, even stop for a moment. They often start to follow your slower rhytm. Does not work 100 %, but when does, it is great dance then.
      Our teachers say, it is about kilometers (probably miles in your case).

    • @backyardrailroader
      @backyardrailroader 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That is true what you are saying. The issue is to be able to do many of the Tango Dancing steps taught, either by TH-cam video or live instruction, one needs to be able to practice the steps daily with someone and go to Tango Milongas frequently to perfect one's own dancing skills. I have neither the time nor the money or a dance partner to practice it.
      I need to concentrate on the basics and minimalize my mistakes on the dance floor.

      @@backyardrailroader Very true... everything goes down to basics... On one of my first milongas there was well dancing lady, not so much men, so I asked her for dance. I said, I am begginer not knowing much. She said: "Thats OK, I was beginner too", so we danced just basic steps, ocho here and there... Feeling music was more important at the time than variety of steps... Do not worry about mistakes too much. Keep dancing... 🙂

    • @backyardrailroader
      @backyardrailroader 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I would not worry about mistakes normally, but it is doing the same mistakes over and over again. I cannot keep my left arm still where it is suppose to be is one of them. I am repeatedly reminded of it by instructors and at least twice per night with the women I am dancing with.
      There are other things I need to work on.
      And following the music just amplifies my mistakes I make. Need to concentrate 110% on everything. When it clicks, it feels good. But when it doesn't.....

      @@backyardrailroader man, learning never ends... Sounds, you realy love tango... Tango saved our sanity during the lockdowns... Underground illegal lessons... Friends made a small dance flor in their house, with coffe and wine... Sound funny now, but was a realy important thing for us then...

    You can make the 3 steps of Sacada and you can finish one piece
