    I saw Steve Wright live with a bunch of friends back in 2000 ish. I think we missed half the show because we were laughing so much from a joke that we would miss the next. What a legend! So unique and so humble.

    Hope Bill really understands that Steve will never get a book review that so perfectly encapsulates or even begins to get where he was coming from.
    Seriously. How often does the interviewer gush and barely let the guest even say a word? You know that Steven really was bowled over by the love.
    All I know is if Bill loves something so much it’s definitely a winner.

    I'd secretly hoped that this was going to be almost a two hour interview, but even one hour was great, and it flew by. Please have Steven back again as a guest soon, I can't wait another seven years for his next book to come out, and it was great to see both of you so relaxed and genuinely enjoying talking about the old days.

    I'm only about 20 minutes into this one and I love it so far. I've heard of Steven Wright but never checked out any of his stand up. I will now, for sure. I also wish he'd come back like once every year or two. Not all the time, but just enough to make my day once every blue moon.

      I just recently found out about both of them. Now I can’t get enough of Steven Wright. His humor is insightful, yet simple. Just a series of one-liners is what I have seen so far, which is the old stuff. The jokes seem like the basic set up….Present a scenario, pause, then slap on a surprise twist of an ending. Am I right?

    Two of my favorite comics of all time! I remember seeing Stephen Wright on Carson when I was little and recording by holding a cassette player up to the TV. My favorite joke was "I had a dream that midgets were trying to assassinate me so I bought a bulletproof car... But since they were midgets I got a convertible." 😂

      I'd never heard that one either, just pure genius, the mind that comes up with that. There is never a chance to know what the punch line will be to anything that Steven Wright writes or performs, it just comes out of nowhere, and then back again.

      Bill is a Bostonian and so is Steven. Bill worshipped Steven who was one of the first Boston comics to make it big in 1979 and paved the path for Bill.

    Love this. Had the same feelings of growing up in Boston in the school system. I just wanted out. Ended up being a musican for a career. Love stand up. I remember watching burr at that kahwloon lounge and multiple spots around the area. Was awesomeness

    I didn’t even know Steven Wright was still alive. His cadence makes me miss Mitch Hedberg. At the time, they were my favorite to listen to or watch.
