Great episode, loved toph's bit on talent. One constructive criticism, when scar gets wound right up, just let him go without interruption, until he finishes his point. I think his dramatic pauses can, without realising, feel like a cue to jump in. But I think it's best to leave them as pauses, let him finish, then comment/react. His storytelling in those moments I'm sure is his biggest strength/attraction as a personality. P.S. just to be clear I don't mean all the time, as you said you guys interrupt eachother, I mean in those moments when scar is channelling his love for THE PEOPLE.

I actually loved that first pewpewu episode of the reads, guys. It was funny and had lots of awesome play. And Toph beating King George was one of the best moments on the show.
The thing about Toph's theory of talent is that there's nothing to say that it's natural. I personally believe that a fair bit of that stuff is a learnable, practicable skill. But we don't currently focus on teaching or learning it, so it appears to be part of the nature of people expecting have happened to pick it up. I also disagree with the idea that investing the most hours is the most important factor in getting good at and non-solved sport or game. Rather, they are competitions of economy of research and economy of practice, and the domains that you can research and practice to improve at things are huge. But it's not nature or time investment. It's efficiency and attention to detail and the game's tech economy. Talent is whatever, grinding is whatever, to get good at something, you have to spend time thinking about it effectively, whether your thinking is conventionally analytic or not.
I think toph is somewhat right about talent. Just because Armada thinks about the game differently doesn't mean you can't think of the game in an equally effective way.
Scar's analogy about the stages and items being spices in Melee is godlike. That talk about talent completely ignores a point made near the beginning about how none of you would beat some pro basketball player because he's tall. Why can't the same thing happen with someone's brain, so that it's literally impossible for other people to beat a player regardless of the hours Atrioc think is all-powerful being put in.
Did Toph say near the end that his dad is 84? I can't tell if he was setting up some future scenario as a joke, but if not holy shit. He would've been like 55 when he had him.
I love the show, watch every episode so please understand I’m a fan providing feedback... I know the grunge look of the set might be a stylistic/affordability choice but I also think the show would really benefit from a green screen, better lighting, and a decent camera. Just a thought. The content is otherwise amazing and so entertaining for my long commutes to and from work, please keep up the great work!
