I want to plant something new, but I'm clueless as to what would look nice and stand up to our Scottish coastal (ish) weather. If I sent you a pic, perhaps you could advise? I'll be off-grid for the next few weeks, so won't be able to respond quickly. My organisation skills stem from my expedition years, when I was constantly on the move. I needed to be able to pack quickly and effortlessly. In the early years, I wasted a fair bit of precious home time hunting for gear. I quickly learned that a system was required. By all accounts - I'm sure both Mo and you need and deserve time for relaxation without us poking our noses in to what you are up to all the time! Hi Big Casey, yes, I like to organise stuff :). Interesting point about moles though, we are fairly surrounded by them, yet the seem to leave us alone. Back in the winter, the sheep escaped one evening and had a rare old time munching on the gardens in the neighbourhood. ATB, Dave

I for some reason thought you both were off to visit Mo's family, perhaps that may be on the cards soon. Oh my, northern Nova Scotia looks rather like the arctic compared with your beautiful garden. I can't think why I'm always shocked with the differences in our climates, but I am. Wherever you travel, travel safely and we'll love having the small video bits later in the year. Bye for now.
Hi Karen and Kit, it has been a cold spring in the east of Scotland. My garden is running about a ten days later this year. It was also a cold winter and there have been a fair few casualties, which will give me some planting opportunities when we get back from our travels. I’ll do another wee garden glimpse later in the season. I’ll also upload some footage from our stravaiging. ATB, Dave
I do have 501’s and find them pretty tough for workwear. The ones in the vid were a pair of stretch Levi’s that I picked up overseas some years ago. The are comfortable but quite light. ATB, Dave

@@mo9981 Oops, seem to have spoken out of turn again :) To be serious though, the new GoPro will be so much better for that type of footage, with its sophisticated image stabilisation. Hope to bring it into play before the end of summer.
