4:50 THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for covering the S ranks. There's so many listicles and guides out there that focus entirely on the SS units that I have no idea which (if any) of the A and S rank units I ought to be using and why.
If i understand it correctly aina S is also a pretty good memoria and the best general debuffer at launch Also elemental debuffers are ok from what i gather if you build around an element. I know the game gave me fire ruka, tsukasa and S isuzu so i'll oblige and make a fire team i guess lol
@@pougetguillaume4632 Aina can provide do normal defense down and fragile at the same time. And she will be stronger with her first SS and priate style(the ultimate debuffer and Overdrive charger). And fire team build is the cheapest way to achieve 400,000 score in score attack challenge since there are only 2 challenges resist to fire until score challenge reaches 600,000 version. All you need more is Yingxia(the most valuble buffer) and Yotsuha(the core buffer for fire team, providing fire power up, fire critial chance and fire critial damage up. No Yotsuha means no fire team build). Unfortunatly, Yingxia is right before the first AB collab and Yotsuha and Muua is right behind it(the event after AB collab is the Ohshima Family Tales). If you invest in AB collab and get Yuri, she is a more powerful damage outputer than Ruka(until fire ruka got buffed and Ruka/Yuki style is released). And fire Megumi is a improvement option(replaces tsukasa and isuzu) but at that time the end of fire team`s glroy is near. BTW, if you need 2 survial character to survive in score attack, replace tsukasa first as her fire field only increase 50% fire damage.
Generally most A and S styles are level or skill providers since SS style can equip their skill as well. Yingxia and Shiki are the only outstanding S style due to the passive(Shiki`s S even outperformmed her SS due to the SS can only provide dark power up, while we usually unitize Yingxia`s first SS first so that S Yingxia can use SS`s ex skill as well). Beside Yingxia and Shiki, Aina`A and S Style provide normal defense down and fragile at the same time and it take about 3-4 month for her first SS to be released. So Aina has to use her S for a long time. Isuzu`s S style is enough for her debuffer position in fire team build. Her SS`s fire defense down skill reduces less than S`s since it is an aoe and Yingxia can do normal defense down at the same time(Yingxia`s S). If you don`t have Isuzu`s SS then use S instead. Kozue`s Bustle of Bygone Days can deal great lightning defense down and it is exchanged for free in event store(Requiem for the Blue), which gives Kozue(and her ice SS style due to fragile) a postion in lightning team build(until vampire Shrao, and Kozue comes back after her SS buffer style is released). S Miyuki from the first AB collab is one of the best healer in the early game as she can not only heal for 1,600 dp but also provide a defense up at the same time. What`s more S Miyuki is free in the event store. Thus it takes one year for Miyuki to get her SS form in the second AB collab. Sugawara`s first S style Whimsical Ennui allows Sugawara apply extra hit counts up on herself(3 hits*20% overall damage), which makes Sugawara`s Fallen Innocence one of the best dark attacker. Wakki`s The great Yamawaki, in Panic and Adel`s Glimmer of Omen are on the list for the same reason(5*10% for Wakki and 3*20% for Adel), and both of the styles are exchanged in event store. Tama`s Heartbeat Arc Light provides Tama a healing skill heals 1,600 dp at the cost of 8 sp, which is way better than the basic 5-sp healing. Nuua`s Racing Ecstasy does the same job as Nuua`s SS is one of the only two Style which can provide Mind Eye until Suit Tama comes. Sharo`s Snowflake Nostalgia provides the only option for lightning team to deal destuction rate after Vampire Sharo domaintes the lightning team build(implanets lightnging weakness) for a long time. Irene`s S provides a skill restores one ally`s sp to 3, which cause magical reaction with other 31X members since they all can use their ex skills as long as their sp is above 0. But honestly for the ultimate life quality improver and speedrunner, Irene mainly blasts the foes with one stack of buff in 1-2 turns, or simply solo daily prism in one turn after she got penetration critical attack(ignore enemy`s resistence and always do 300% critial damage)
This video was much needed. Absolutely cannot wait for part 2. Right now i'm in the "Favorites over needing proper team composition", but i straight up dont even have a debuffer, breaker or tank. All 5 steps of the banner just gave me attackers and blasters.
3 of the 6 SS units that I got so far are debuffers, 2 are healers, and 1 is dps (selector Ruka). I’m using main story character as my breaker, and just ignoring other roles.
I'm the opposite problem. All I have is a bunch of SS buffers, healers and one debuffer. The battles are already dragging and it's only going to get worse if I don't get the damage going lol
I just start the game blind and roll randomly. Got Attacker from Selector, 1 Breaker, 1 Debuffer, 1 Buffer and 2 Defender. Not a Blaster at all even S rank one, still stuck with 1 A Blaster you got from start.
Great Video, even if you know everything already this is just a great refresher. But really, this game deserves sooo much more attention, I love it soo much.
Yeah. I don’t even play gacha games that often nowadays because I get burnt out easily. But his informative style is so refreshing and enjoyable to listen to compared to most other content creators in the space who are hard focused on acting like degenerates. I love this game so much, the voice acting is so well done. I play a lot of gacha games (too many!) And I always find myself skipping cutscenes but the story here is so well done that I find myself not wanting to miss a thing.
Tips from a JP player, pls do not chase meta if u all u care is the lore and story , the game do not really encourage or incentives you to play better either because the reward locked behind higher score is kinda shit , u might only got yourself trouble with the main story (which sometime locked events behind if you dint clear a specific main chapter) because of the difficulty spike but is ntg too crazy

I've known about this game since it released but no translation, so glad it's finally here. This game is actually so immersive and fun/funny. Lowkey got emotional out of nowhere at the end of chapter 1 and tears were leaking. I wasn't supposed to cry but I did anyway😅 Currently on chapter 2 day 3 and story is kicking. gacha aspect is also quite well. gameplay is turned base, I play that all the time so I don't mind (auto is mvp). @@ncp9095 I can expect that since it's Jun Maeda's. Him and Mari Okada are my faves. Imagine if Mari Okada actually make a collab and wrote something in this game whooo
Finally, My doubts was answered regarding to the stats is really exclusive to the memoria you are using(though i did read it in-game), doing trial and error since i didn't really like going straight to a gameplay summary in a newly launced(global) game, the first one was a failure(wasted too many materials) the second one was so-so even then i finished chapter 3 though had a difficult time regarding to the final boss 😅, especially when i thought it was over. This video is very helpful, It did clear some doubts. Thanks~
I'm an old player of the Japanese version of Heaven Burns Red. When I started playing, there were no tips, I was guided by the builds of the Japanese players. And I can tell you right now that this game is very difficult. Especially in the weekly events to kill bosses. Flat hand will be the terror for newbies, because he requires at least 14k of power and has two lives. And I say more, focus on having elemental support characters because without them it will be very difficult to defeat some enemies, some of them have neutral attributes, which makes it impossible to deal damage.
Classic WFS making later bosses stupidly hard and insane new units powercreeping the hell out of the older ones, Another Eden turned into a big mess and seems the JP HBR is already turned into the same mess too
True. The flat hand battle is simply too hard since not only it's a 2-stage boss, they also spawn minions which have HP as strong as Mini boses and their debuff attack makes flat hand normal attack fatal. The battle design is bad IMHO. If the boss in the early game is that strong, I can't imagine how strong the boss is in the last chapter. Despite my squad having a 12K power rating, I still struggle with flat hand and need to lower the difficulty once.
Not only is the story so good that it keeps reminding me of the peak visual novels I've read by Jun Maeda but the gameplay/gacha experience is so authentic that it's also reminding me of the first gacha games I've played and the good memories along with it. Game is really under the radar though so please share it around.
Finally a Content creator dedicated to Underrated game HBR. Please do more content bout hbr global in the future. Especially of "should you pull this" content every new banner release.
One thing to remember: different squad has different playstyle too. Like how every single SS of 31X can immediately go for their Ultimate (the one with cutscenes) fue to their "can be used with when SP is greater than 0" or the 31D having the mechanic of "Buff Ultimate when in the OD state". All of these just to show you different characters requires different playstyle and team, and you won't have to wonder why all of the sudden your Misato can deal massive dmg that can potentially one-shot a boss
As someone who plays jp, this is a very good guide. Let me congratulate you on the work. It should also be said that the "meta" changes a lot compared to the Japanese release so I think it is important to maintain a good balance
I'll give a like just for explaining the power saving mode. I didnt know I could actually just turn off the game, I thought this was a mechanic like in Black Desert Online where you can AFK but still have to leave the game open.
Fantastic beginners' guide thank you very much. Could you also share in future videos what the effect of raising multiple memorias of the same character does?
i could say that i got extremely lucky that i got ss2 seika on my first 10 pull. it's a really good start. now i may have been a bit too hasty on the ss rank selector by just blindly picking ruka instead of tama but that's my own fault ig. really enjoying the game so far, maeda's writing style really takes me back to angel beats
My Daybreak Ruka hit 152,537 damage when I paired her with two other fire units, one to boost her damage, the other using Hellraiser, and the break gauge wasn't even fully maxed, so it could've been much higher
I haven't played the game yet, but from this guide I can see this game shares some similarities to another eden. It's not surprising given both games are from the same devs. Just hope that the power creep won't be as bad as another eden's since the extra turn system itself is very overpowered already
At first I wasn't that really interested, until I kept getting the ads over and over, so I decided "Why not check it out?" And then I realized it was from Yostar. I pretty much already sold my life to them on Arknights, so yeah gonna try it out.

HOLD ON, THIS GAME NOT ONLY HAS FRIENDLY AUTO-FARM, BUT IT LET'S YOU KEEP AUTO-FARMING THE LEVEL EVEN WHEN YOU GET OUT OF THE GAME? THAT'S CRAZY, WHY NOBODY THOUGHT ABOUT THIS BEFORE?
I've picked Tsukasa Tojo ss1 and I don't know I just picked bc of past gacha experience of using support and her first skill already trapped me into picking her, did I make a bad decision?
Tama is recommended because there is almost no replacement for her skill that can revive DP, buffer in the other hand there are tons of them that can do the same stuff in the future.
Downloaded the game when it came out but only opened it today 'cause of both busy sched and laziness. Currently on the selector part as of writing this comment and the dialogue and voice acting are intriguing in a way. With GFL 2 coming out in a few days, is this game worth the time investment?
so i get he said what makes a character good, but i still dont understand Are the skills and whatnot like arknights in the sense that skill 1 is relatively insignificant and appears on alot of characters, skill 2 is a bit more unique to that character, and skill 3 is the skill that determines how good a specific unit is? i ask because none of the skills have damage numbers in the menu, so do they all do the same amount of damage by default, and its character-to-character damage only changes depending on their strength and hp? its the same with buffers, how do i know if the enhancement skill damage boost on my A character is better than the one on my SS character when you arent actually shown any numbers?
Funny thst you mention Tama as a good starter, I went with her purely on vibes, I thought that healer wouldn't be a big deal since in these games supports are always the strongest, but I was like "Eh, she looks cool, and since the game doesn't tell me what they can do before I select them, let's just go with that." Unfortunately I then proceeded to get a second copy of her in like 30 pulls
Tama will be more useful when she gets different styles. She can still use the heal skill even when you use the different styles that’s what makes her OP
First of all, thank you for the comprehensivd guide! But I still don't really understand the gameplay part tbh. So the general play is always fill up the OD, stockpile SP and then burst? So do you just do normal attacks every time until the OD is full all the way? Can't imagine that to be the case + he also mention the two units with the SP buff talent. So how exactly do you manage skill use? I didn't have time to play as much as I want to so far so I'm not that deep into the game yet. There might be some aspects I'm still missing or will be introduced to still, but right now I still struggle to see the "ideal" battle plan in that sense.
You are correct that's how you play the game, even though there are future unit that you can increase OD gauge or increase SP during the start but that's 2 year later in the game.
i kinda like the game now but still trying to learn it, it's really a good game 🔥 Edit; i only play Genshin Impact & Call of Duty Mobile, i just added this 😁
I got insanely lucky with the beginning rolls and got the best cadet for every damage type except breaker and blaster. No idea how to play the game though lol
not even playing this for the gacha, PLAYING IT BECAUSE ITS MADE BY THE ONES WHO MADE ANGEL BEATS AND CHARLOTTE AND FRANKLY, I HAVE NOT BEEN DISAPPOINTED WITH THE STORY. IVE BEEN LAUGHING MY FUCKING ASS OFF THE WHOLE WAY

I won't play the game but here to support pseychie❤
Oh wow, this game is actually unique
i dont get the part you talking about autobattle in 12:04 someone can explain?
I've picked Tsukasa Tojo ss1 and I don't know I just picked bc of past gacha experience of using support and her first skill already trapped me into picking her, did I make a bad decision?
beats me but I also went in and picked unprepared for me I picked Yuki
Tsukasa best girl so no
Tama is recommended because there is almost no replacement for her skill that can revive DP, buffer in the other hand there are tons of them that can do the same stuff in the future.
will not play the game but jun maeda and key studio are guaranteed masterpiece creators
This some tips for experienced mf, if theres Tama Kunimi in suit and SS Li Yingxia, make sure to get them cuz these 2 are the GOAT
11:07 ruka not being gay exhibit 49652
Also holy shit THAT'S WHY I CAN'T RAISE EXCENTRICITY.
You should do a review on Guardian Tales, it’s one of the best gacha games i’ve ever played.
I have everyone I need on the tier list now, I’m just missing a good dps so I’m coping with the free SS ruka
The only guide i trust
I'd love to play but.. it says something like the app won't work on my device (which I call BS, likely region blocked) on my Playstore
Downloaded the game when it came out but only opened it today 'cause of both busy sched and laziness. Currently on the selector part as of writing this comment and the dialogue and voice acting are intriguing in a way. With GFL 2 coming out in a few days, is this game worth the time investment?
man I kinda want erika ss now especially since those razor wing have annnoying instant break attack
So are you making a min max progression guide? The time attack fomo is really hurting my enjoyment of the story.
Anyone else remember when this was a Nikke channel D:
so i get he said what makes a character good, but i still dont understand
Are the skills and whatnot like arknights in the sense that skill 1 is relatively insignificant and appears on alot of characters, skill 2 is a bit more unique to that character, and skill 3 is the skill that determines how good a specific unit is?
i ask because none of the skills have damage numbers in the menu, so do they all do the same amount of damage by default, and its character-to-character damage only changes depending on their strength and hp?
its the same with buffers, how do i know if the enhancement skill damage boost on my A character is better than the one on my SS character when you arent actually shown any numbers?
depressed i didn't try to keep rerolling for seika ss2 but i wanted a day 1 account instead and i didn't get her a single time in 20+ rerolls...
If we upgrade stat for rank a & s with same ss unit..will that ss get stronger ? All of stat (stat, skill, act8ve passive etc) from a & s rank ?
Do you plan on making a video on Pokemon Masters EX?
Thanks for the guide, 100% I'm not starting the game haha
hope that the game becomes available in brazil eventually
Exactly what I needed!
You are correct that's how you play the game, even though there are future unit that you can increase OD gauge or increase SP during the start but that's 2 year later in the game.
i kinda like the game now but still trying to learn it, it's really a good game 🔥
Edit; i only play Genshin Impact & Call of Duty Mobile, i just added this 😁
Free Visual Novel from Jun Maeda huh. I'm in
Nice. Congrats on the sponsor
are you gonna make a Nikke video on the second anniversary’s units, or is that game still off your channel?
Maybe he needs a lil time, tbf I'm still not able to use Cinderella and focus on the actual combat
I was really looking forward to this game, but unfortunately it's not available in my country (brazil)...
Does it have shit grinding system like GI?
I got insanely lucky with the beginning rolls and got the best cadet for every damage type except breaker and blaster. No idea how to play the game though lol
What were your other favorite games of the year???
More HBR content please like tier list
Yep im trying enjoy the story
not even playing this for the gacha, PLAYING IT BECAUSE ITS MADE BY THE ONES WHO MADE ANGEL BEATS AND CHARLOTTE AND FRANKLY, I HAVE NOT BEEN DISAPPOINTED WITH THE STORY. IVE BEEN LAUGHING MY FUCKING ASS OFF THE WHOLE WAY
i pulled inori natsume because she looked cool lol, i got her in 20 pulls is that normal?
