I have an odd one for you. I'm an automotive locksmith so safes aren't my thing. In my previous home I had a floor safe that I installed. I don't want to say the brand but it was a good one and they were good to me. It was a C rated head with an S&G 6730. I sold the house and took the head with me. I contacted the manufacture for a new body for my new home. They changed some things up as the head was 20 years old so they wanted me to send the head in and they would make it fit on a new body. While there I asked them to put a Securam analog on which they did. For some reason and I don't remember why maybe to install a new battery with the head open I couldn't get the ring off to save my life. It would turn a little but stop. I contacted Securam and they walked me through a couple things but nada. They told me to do whatever it takes and they would send a new KP. I took a Dremel to it and they also wanted everything sent back for an autopsy. Have you ever run into that? They sent a new KP and everything has been fine since. I also registered with them and did a few of their courses.
ANY e safe lock and floor safes are a bad idea in my book! Securam models never turn to remove just push upwards to pop off mounting posts?
@@hkssystemslocksafe2486 This was the ring to get to the battery. The new one works as it should. I still have the 6730 so I can always swap it back but so far liking the Securam until I have to fly you down to Fl to poke a hole in it. :) I also put one of their elocks on my gun closet.

@@hkssystemslocksafe2486 The last couple years, I had problems with the dials going bad, that's why I been switching them out as I go.
So if you plugged the tester into a locked safe, it should open it, right? you would just need a connector to plug both cables together, one from tester and one from the safe that was connected to keypad. Unless the tester only works when the lock has been set to factory defaults.

Great info. Thank you for explaining this through. By the way what would one do if the lock body itself mal-functions since the codes are stored inside the lock body and not the keypad? and is there a redundancy inside this happens?
Not really a second chance,like a malfunction in mechanical locks digital is no different-it comes down to the drill typically. There are types of bypasses for E locks but not always effective.

So I’m ditching my S&G Group 2’s after learning how manipulable they are. What stopped me getting digital was concern about hardware failure. I’m an EE, we do MTBF analysis…all electronics die eventually. Oddly I have more faith in simple mechanics.
That said ranting aside if the Pro Logic keypad shits the bed but the inner lock is still alive and well. Can you bring a new keypad to the party if you know your passwords? It seems they need to be mated and to be mated you need the door open, panel off, to be able to press the reset button.
Everything is stored in the lock body so a new KP would work as long as the malfunction wasn't in the lock body.
How much is the digital keypad and can it be reset? I don't want liberty safe to have the back door access to my safe.
They range from $200 up to $2k not sure what you have in place. FYI The codes are stored in lock body NOT keypad
I was wondering if this would work thank you for the great info! I have a quick question is it possible to buy a securam digital keypad alone without lock body? Basically I want to upgrade my keypad to a digital without wasting money on a lock body if possible. Take care buddy!!!
yes- keypads are sold separately as well as lock bodies and most components

Could the Secure - Ram (as I pronounce it) Test Box be used to open someones Safe? Even though you call the "Secure-Ram" basic model the "Analog model", isn't it really digital in it's communication from the keypad to the lock body?
No it can't bypass if that's the question.only tests in a factory coded lock body According to Securam basic models it's analog signal being sent? The other models are digital?. I can't see a difference myself,but they make the product.

So, you are telling me that anyone who can get one of those testers can open any safe with a SecuRam lock?
No, it only opens on factory codes, but switches front A to D systems or reverse.
Will this reset the password saved ? Especially for the digital one
No, there are other tool models that will- but I don't show those.
Where can we get them with a reset device

What would cause it to stop locking ?
Mechanical OR electronic failure. Try new batteries then change lock IF that don't work. You can put code in and pull cable before it relocks it will stay open until it's plugged back in with power.
I have one that the keypad is frozen even with fresh battery. I cannot get it to do anything
This digital lock opens when I press 1111111111. Do you have a remedy? Or should I buy new lock? Thanks
111111 is a factory code..just change it?

change batteries and retry! Use Duracell or Energizer. IF that doesn't work next step-change keypad then DRILLING would be needed most likely. Use the link to find someone close to you.
