I have 64mbps internet at home, but when Im testing it on my iPhone 7 via speedtest. I get max. 35-36mbps all the time... Notebooks, PC - 64mbps. IPhone7 35-36mbps . Like the wifi speed on my iPhone is max up to 36mbps. I even get better scores on LTE. Weird.
i think you got the LPDDR4 and eMMC huawei p10. They are not talking about that there are different types of huawei p10
What ever the wifi speed it does a great job with the real life performance.

Using the speedtest same app. Same server. Same network. On my OP2 and iPad the speed always more than 60MBps.
But on P10.. never go over 20MBps.

with my P10 i have 200mbps download and 22 mbps upload in the netherlands
5:15, ping is lower and upload speed is higher for huawei p10 than iphone 7 yet download speed is lower by a big margin, you know something is wrong

I myself am an iPhone owner for a reason...(previously I owned android devices)
Every android user says iPhone is too simplified,... it‘s true, but not in all cases, the animation on an iPhone are much more there and look better, look for example when you open uber you get a nice animation, I don‘t care that it‘s by 0,00001 slower if it looks nicer
And you can notice on bigger apps where the Huawei has no opnening animation you get an disgusting lag and after that it opens
That‘s just one thing I like about Apple more and wanted to mention it
I an not stupid and paying much more for an slower phone, just for the brand

And fuck apple/android war, everyone should get what he wants

the phones are always falling down. it's so funny to see the reaction of people when iPhone 6 or 7 fall on the floor)))) but my Huawei p8 fall lots of times when i ride or walk and one time was real serious. felt on the 50km per hour speed. so i changed the back cover. it was 80 rmb... around 12 dollars in shenzhen. now it looks like a new phone and still working fast after 2 years using. so I'm thinking to buy p10 or wait p11.
ill never buy iPhone because its easy to lost. or someone can still it. or it easy to bend, apple is really easy to broke in rear pocket. but Huawei is strong))) so better for me to buy a msi laptop for 2000 dollars but not this apple shit))) i really appreciate apple i know its good, but its only for girls to make a selfie in the mirror with phone)))

TH-camrs, techreviewers,... iOS is built to work without cleaning background apps in "recent menu" and thats why iOS developers does not put "clear all button".
Even when you reboot iOS recent apps stays.
You just open your 10-15 most used apps and don't clear from recent menu.
If you clear them, iOS is going to work like Samsung Galaxy S1 on Jelly Bean. Thats why is P10 faster in "first lap" of opening apps.
not a valid argument, then if u keep 10-15 apps open u must do the same on android aswell then, it just shows how bad the Flash memory and cpu is in ios devices.
Completely valid, because iOS background apps works different than Android.
If you leave apps in background on Android they will use much more battery than background apps on iOS (developers of iOS even says that they don't use any % of battery)
And thats why I always say "if you know how to use Android phones with bigger batteries, keeping and locking most used apps in recent menu, any 200$ Android will perform great and battey will last full day of use."

Keeping apps in memory doesnt drain battery atall, that shit is bullshit, apps are hibernated as soon as they are exited in android, the other services take over, thats the reason some apps have multiple processes.

And every single "speed test" video on youtube are completely trash, because there is no point of rebooting and launching app since nobody is doing that on daily basis. But for fun, it is ok.

The iPhone 7/7+ will be slower in opening non graphical intensive apps because it only uses its 2 low-powered cores.
Phones like the P10 use all of them.

Companies have to figure out how to better optimize their chips for Android. The SC835 is a bit slower at opening games compared to the A10 chip because the software is specifically made for the device.

Your P10 is only connecting to the 2.4Ghz *Wireless N*. You need to change it under the Settings to 5.0GHz *Wireless AC*.
The iPhone is *automatically defaulted* to the 5GHz Wireless AC band. That's why it's faster downloading.
That SSID it is connected to is 5ghz mate, and also even 2ghz would get about 50mbps.
I meant directly in the P10's Settings >> WiFi >> Configuration
Also, what happens if you Turn *Off* the *WiFi+* setting ?? Does it get any better/worse.

I have similar wifi issue with my pixel xl, when signal is not full, it has significant slower downloading, but normal uploading speed comparing to other phones.
was your speed test app up to date on the P10 ?
mine does 20mb/s and it is up to date, really strange...

regarding the wifi test, it must be particularly your phone. I did the same test on my phone and it wasn't any problems for me. Infact, it even worked better than it usually does.
He used the 2. Wifi on P10 and 5. Wifi on Iphone that's why. P10 5. Wifi is faster than Iphone.
I get slow results on speedtest app but full bandwidth on speed of me website as the app only lets me select a server 380 miles away I don't think there is anything wrong with the phones wifi as I get full 50meg on it

A question , observation about Wifi speed tests. A while back my mate who is an Apple man was showing off his new broadband, and getting 50mb speeds. I tried it with my Nexus 7 tablet / and one plus one, could only get 25mb speeds. Yet, when he came over to my place on my network, both were achieving 50 on my network. The only difference, was that he had some kind of Apple router / airplay type thing in his setup (can't remember the name of it). Anyone else come across this? Because the results were repeatable, and it sure looked to me like something on his network was restricting speeds to non Apple products. Thoughts?

Thumbs down because of three reasons:
1) Kept repeating "very weird" when android device performed faster.
2) All apps opened up faster on android phone, some pretty much twice as fast. Summed up as "a little bit faster".
3) WiFi speed is pure nonesense. Not sure if defective unit or configuration, but tested out wifi speed on my P9, got 220 mbps every time.

Why don't you test actual browsing, these apps aren't always accurate. Funny how the P10 kills the iPhones, S8, S8 Plus and all other phones in actual browsing and app opening in all the comparison videos I've seen.
