What KotLC means to me: I've been introduced to this fandom and the book series itself about 11 months ago (getting closer to a year). My friend recommended it to me (and also bought me the first 2 books), and I'm so glad and thankful that she did. If it hasn't been for her, I wouldn't even be here today. So shoutout to my friend! XD Anyways, this series made me feel tons of emotions I never felt before or ever thought I would feel. It made me happy, sad, angry, excited, and sometimes even made me want to rage because of those dam cliffhangers! But still, I can't help falling in love with this series. The characters, the ships, the world itself! They're just so ______ (there isn't a word in this world that can describe this series, it's way more than just perfect) My Discord: discord.gg/YDBPV5RuVZ
My Friend also Introduced me to This Series, I did not find them interesting at first. She told me to Keep reading and now... I’m in love :D I read the whole series in less then five months! Now i make edits of the characters and can’t wait for book 8.5 And if u guessed that i bought it already you would be correct! :D I am so happy and grateful for this friend! The last time i fell in love with a series like this it was with: Pegasus of Olympus.I recommend reading that as well! Have a Great Day and I hope all you wishes and dreams of Mallowmelts Come True! :D
My sister introduced me to the series. I fell in love with it immediately. When my sister drifted apart from it, I stayed. Keeper of the Lost Cities became one of my favourite series, all the things in there-all the heartbreaks, cliffhangers-are what makes the series awesome. The story is awesome and I just love the creativity put into KOTLC.
My mom kept on nagging me to read more, so I picked up this book and the book was just so awesome! The characters are just so relatable and well thought out!!! Kotlc got me through quarintine and helped me feel soooo happy! So thank you Shannon!!
Yes! I use this one motto, its like, if I cut myself or something, I think about how that is nothing. Compared to what Sophie, keefe, all of them go through, its NOTHING! So I use that as much as I can😀
Aaaaand I'm crying... KOTLC means a lot to me too... I've moved a lot, and it's always been really hard. I've always had books as my escape. And once, when I was hiding in the school library because I was upset and alone, a librarian came up to me. She gave me a hug, told me it was going to be okay. Then she recommended Keeper of the Lost Cities. The fourth book had just come out, and she thought I would like it. I took her up on it, and read through the first book. Something had finally clicked. KOTLC has been a home for me ever since. I've moved a couple times since then, but rereading the series and getting the new books when they come out has always given me peace. I can't begin to express my gratefulness to that librarian who showed a lonely girl kindness, then offered her a whole new world...
I’ve also moved, but only twice. I was to young to remember our first move, which was when I was 4. Our second move, when I was 8, I can remember. It was so hard because after about a month of me moving, my old friends basically abandoned me. Once when I was in 5th grade ( I’m going into 6th ) I saw the person next to me reading kotlc and asked what it was. She told me, and I asked for the books for my birthday. I got the first three from my aunt an read them in about a month. In all it took about 6 months for me to finish it. I have made 5 of my friends read it and they all finished it before I did. So it also helped me cope with some hard things to.
@@kschmidt6647 practically the same switch for me!!! I had moved schools quite a lot, never houses, but friends just kept switching. In fifth grade, I would watch my friend read keeper and yell at Keefe but I would never understand a bit. Right after summer ended, I started reading it. I got through about the first four or five in a week, done with lodestar by the end of the next week, done with nightfall, flashback, and going to the tattered cover for legacy by the next three weeks. Then I finished legacy right before we got to south dekota and got into descendants. But, I also had my dad read it, my friend read it, and the introductory friend introduce it to our other friend. Then, at Renaissance adventures camp (really good) I found another friend who had read it. Then, this week, at that same camp, the friend from camp was there, and the other four had at least started if not finished keeper. It took me roughly a month and a quarter to read all 8 and most of 8.5. Still going through 8.5 as of today.
This series is the only thing that keeps me going. I was very suicidal and depressed. I was (and still am) in an abusive household. I haven’t told anyone but one day a friend introduced me to Keeper. And I related so much to Keefe. It helped me keeps going and still is. I thank Shannon everyday for keeping me alive and giving me something to keep me going

I have no words I am lowkey crying. I.......... just can't anymore. I swear if KEEFE doesn't wake up I am going to stop reading the books. ( I really won't but I would be very sad) love this video and all your videos.
I love this it was amazing!!!❤️❤️❤️ I was sad when it ended. I wanted it to go on forever. KOTLC is just the absolute BEST. EVER. Your right there really is no word to describe how incredible it is. I’ve never thought I would be a crazy fan girl obsessing over something day and night but here I am obsessing over a book series no less. The Keeper Fandom is just so amazing and I’m really blessed to be a part of it. 💕
Haha, its fine. Normally when I cry on TH-cam its bc of how amazing it is. Especially yours. Its just... Idk how to explain it. But its just so amazing! What you do, its just so inspiring. I know it probably doesn't feel like it, but it really is. Sometimes, your videos make me rethink a lot of things.
This was in my recommendations!! also i love this video so much, i literally almost cried its so so sweet! these kotlc vidoes are just the best i am not even joking🥺🥺🥺 i'm not sure when i'll get unlocked but im so excited to read it :DD

This series to me means that I have to keep fighting even when I don't want to. I was crying watching this btw. Its my comfort series, all my comfort characters are in these books, Its my home
What KotLC means to me: My cousin recommended it to me so a month later I asked to borrow it. I read thae first book and loved it. It's been about a year later and, I still adore that series. When I get depressed or end up crying to no one I'll read a chapter or two. It makes me laugh, cry, and get so happy when other characters are happy! Even though Keefe isn't real (that was REALLY hard to type!) I honestly think about him when I'm going through my personal struggles. And the GEORGEOUS writing...the wisdom in those books is something I will forever be grateful for... "Those who wander are not lost" is a quote that makes me cry everytime. Because even if you wander...you can still find your way back... OH GOSH! I'M CRYING!😭😭🤧 Beautiful video!! It was beautiful!!
YES YES YES YES YES YES YES YES! Love the quotes! And thank you to my librarian! I started this series a few months ago, I'm not crazy about it, but I still love it. It has so much character and love in it! Like wow. You put it perfectly. (Sokeefe forever btw) But like- There are so many moments that we forget. And how characters truly are. Biana went after Vespera, and at first, was scared to show her scars. She was told she was useless but was she useless then? No. She fought back. And after years of hiding in the shadows of being a Vacker, she came out and showed herself. She showed she was powerful. She showed she could do amazing things. Keefe had a family, a parent he thought was better, but she was the bad one after all. He watched his best friend date the thing that kept him going. If Sophie were to die, where would Keefe go? Don't forget the fact that he blames himself like Sophie does. Trying to figure everything out. Putting himself in harm's way to get the others out of it. He deserves so much more. Dex was always told to stay behind, working on devices and such. Always left out. And Sophie said he was her best friend. But she still leaves him out. But because of what Sophie said, he believes. He does it for HER. (Just like Keefe, doing things for her.) Fitz has anger issues. Pretty much all I can think of :) Tam was always protecting Linh. Going with her to Exuillium. Going to the Neverseen. You get it. There are so many other characters. but here's SOPHIES life story. Hit her head when she was five, got telepathic powers. Was bullied, until Fitz found her. Showed her the world. She met some loving parents, but they canceled her adoption. She was kidnapped, adopted. She blamed herself for Alden's mind breaking. She got her powers fixed. One of her favorite Councilors died, along with Fintan. But NOOOOOOO Fintan is ALIVE! She fled to the Black Swan with her friends, got banished, and attended a horrible school. One of her friends gave up her life. Another one went to the Neverseen. I don't remember what happened in Lodestar but Keefe is back! Her parents were kidnapped, one of her best friends went after the villain, and came back, bruised and broken. She gets attacked, and breaks her arm, having to go on bedrest, feeling useless. The person she thought she could trust betrayed them after he got back his memories. Her friend left to the Neverseen to save the alicorns. She is unmatchable, and her boyfriend thinks it'll ruin his reputation. She's mad at her mom, and you know what else? THE PERSON SHE TRUELY LOVES IS IN A FREAKING COMA. HELP MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
The characters went through so much😭 That they didn't deserve. Sometimes I wish that they had a little break, but that can't happen of course when Shannon is writing the story XD There's always troubled going on.
And now (Don't read if you haven't read 8.5) THE PERSON SHE TRULY LOVES IS IN THE FREAKING FORBIDDEN CITIES, AND SHE DOESN'T KNOW WHICH ONE KSIDUGKJEFHIDH
Honestly, this is so accurate. Books are what's literally holding me together this quarantine, esp. Percy Jackson and KOTLC. I just discovered this channel and it's so good 😂 I keep watching these videos :) Thank you for making these :) I swear the Percabeth one and this one basically made me cry. It's just SoOoOoO accurate 🥺. Thank. You. Period. Do you have Goodreads??
I started crying halfway through keeper of the lost cities encourages me to not give up it's a great series but it also has great lessons if you are doubting yourself read keeper of the lost citie
This series has got me through too much 😭😭 I own it all to KOTLC, and so i can’t recommend this more to literally ANYONE like please read this series, you will feel an escape from this tough world 😉
What KotLC means to me: I was introduced to this series two years ago, a bit before Covid hit. My grandma was visiting and, as a tradition, we also go to the bookstore and she buys be books! I looked for something interesting and found Keeper. She bought it for me, and I started reading. I instantly fell in love with the series, and every time I finished a book I would have my parents go get the next one on their way home from work. While at the time I only got to share my love of this series with one of my friends (who switched schools, but I still talk to her once in a while) it was a lot to me. Now I’ve got more of my friends reading the series, so I have more people to talk about it with. But Keeper did something amazing for me. I used to enjoy reading, but mostly just Harry Potter books, and even then I wasn’t THAT into it. (Reading, not Harry Potter!) When I started reading KotLC, I began to love reading. These stories even inspired me to write myself, and it’s now my dream to become an author because of these books. Life is hard right now, but every time something happens in the Keeper world, I feel a bit better. When this video was made, Unlocked was about to come out. Well, we recently found out the name of book 9. I hope that when Stellarlune comes out, it’s even more amazing then the previous books!
Something that I love about KOTLC: Every single elf is beautiful, of course, but they're all beautiful in a real way. They aren't all blonde haired, light skinned people, they all look different, some are people of color, some have curlier hair, some are Asian, and while their are some blonde elves (Keefe and Marella, just to name a few), they are all beautiful and stand out in their own ways, which is what real beauty should look like. They also aren't perfect. Even though they are all beautiful, they all have character flaws and all make mistakes. This book showed me that there really is no such thing as being "ugly", we are all born different, and this goes for the elvin and human world. I know that elves don't judge by race or skin color, but I still thing that this was an incredibly nice thing to include, showing that beauty is being different, and that not all beautiful people are light-skinned with blonde hair. I also love how all of their eyes are different shades of blue, which helps show their differences. This book has made me feel so many things. I love it. If you took the time to read this, thanks.
Possible Book 9 Sokeefe quote. Keefe: Don't you get it???!!No one can fix me. So just go,Sophie. Im not worth it. Sophie:I know. You're worth more. At least to me.
Sometimes people have told me, “I love this anime!” Or, “I love this TH-camr!” And sometimes I would ask them, “Do you like to read?” Hoping I could recommend KOTLC. They would always say something like, “Ew. No.” Or “Reading is boring.” Or “Who does?” People don’t understand the true meaning of reading. It allows you to create a picture inside your head, without anything telling you how it should look. Books can do things that are not able to be shown visually. And KOTLC is literally my life. Like, it defines me. I think about it all the time, in the grocery store? E.L. Fudges! In the car? Songs that remind me of characters! School? I’m doodling on my paper about KOTLC. I’m so excited for the movie!
kotlc isn’t a copy of harry potter, or lord of the rings, or percy jackson, or alice in wonderland. it’s a mix of everything. that’s what makes it so beautiful

@@CaptainPersassy omg I never though about that thank you for giving me hope

I love this it was amazing!!!❤️❤️❤️ I was sad when it ended. I wanted it to go on forever. KOTLC is just the absolute BEST. EVER. Your right there really is no word to describe how incredible it is. I’ve never thought I would be a crazy fan girl obsessing over something day and night but here I am obsessing over a book series no less. The Keeper Fandom is just so amazing and I’m really blessed to be a part of it. 💕
I agree. The series itself is amazing and the fandom, too! The people in the fandom are so amazing💖
Omg, who gave you the right to make me cry??? *sniff*
But actually, this is amazhang, I love it so much (T ~ T )
I wasn't trying to make everyone cry😏
At some points I've had some depressing thoughts, but then I'm like
'but Keeper book nine comes out in november'
And then I'm like
'oh nvm'
I would give up anything to give Keefe a hug.
I honestly don’t know what to do without this book in my life. This has been a blessing and I can’t help to think when it’s gonna. Be over

This series to me means that I have to keep fighting even when I don't want to. I was crying watching this btw. Its my comfort series, all my comfort characters are in these books, Its my home
I'm actually going to cry. You summed it up perfectly.
What KotLC means to me:
My cousin recommended it to me so a month later I asked to borrow it.
I really like like this edit, it really means a lot, thank you so much 🙏
This really hits hard…i saved this to my kotlc playlist :)
on a happier note, UNLOCKED COMES OUT IN 2 DAYS
EDIT: ITS OUT OMG IM HALFWAY THROUGH ITS SOOOOOOO GOOD!!!!!
YEAH!!
SUPER EXCITED!!!
(Just like Keefe, doing things for her.)
Fitz has anger issues. Pretty much all I can think of :)
Tam was always protecting Linh.
I'm perfectly sane don't worry
The characters went through so much😭 That they didn't deserve. Sometimes I wish that they had a little break, but that can't happen of course when Shannon is writing the story XD There's always troubled going on.
@@CaptainPersassy xD
And now (Don't read if you haven't read 8.5)
THE PERSON SHE TRULY LOVES IS IN THE FREAKING FORBIDDEN CITIES, AND SHE DOESN'T KNOW WHICH ONE KSIDUGKJEFHIDH

This series has got me through too much 😭😭
I own it all to KOTLC, and so i can’t recommend this more to literally ANYONE
like please read this series, you will feel an escape from this tough world 😉
What KotLC means to me:
I was introduced to this series two years ago, a bit before Covid hit. I hope that when Stellarlune comes out, it’s even more amazing then the previous books!
okay unlocked made me cry but, I love the video
Unlocked made me cry, too😭😭
I’ve rewatched this too many times to count
Lol, thanks :)
@@CaptainPersassy :)
So EXCITED FOR UNLOCKED!
Yesss! Me too !
Wow this is beautiful
Thank you💕💕
Oralie and Kenric have always gotten my eyes teary. 😢
Home is a feeling, not a place. The lost cities is home.
Something that I love about KOTLC:
Every single elf is beautiful, of course, but they're all beautiful in a real way.
This hits ten times harder after Unlocked 😭😭😭
Yup😭😭😭
This is so sad but so accurate too 😢❤
STOP MAKING ME CRY OH MY GOSH
It's been months and I still sob everytime I think about the ending to unlocked
Kotlc was an escape for me and a happy place
I’m not crying, Linh is training again
😭😢
YAYAYAYAYAY IM CRYING
Possible Book 9 Sokeefe quote.
Keefe: Don't you get it???!!No one can fix me. So just go,Sophie. Im not worth it.
Sophie:I know.You're worth more.
At least to me.
OMMGGGGGGG. SHANNON NNNEEEDDDSS TO ADD THAT IN BOOK NINE. YOU'RE A GENIUS
I have been introduced to this series by my uncle. Now I'm addicted
I'm not crying, you are
That Was the best thing ever. *cries*
Thank youuu
I love this ❤❤❤❤❤
wow that had alot of hugging what is your favorite pic and book mine is flashback and the wanderling woods
I really like the first one. It shows how they may look okay on the outside, but in the inside, they're really hurt😭

kotlc isn’t a copy of harry potter, or lord of the rings, or percy jackson, or alice in wonderland. it’s a mix of everything. that’s what makes it so beautiful
