You don't need to extract files, at least not with WinRAR. I'm not certain about other programs, but with WinRAR, click the downloads icon in your browser and select 'open file'. If it asks you to choose a program, select WinRAR. You can set it as the default if you wish, and you'll have the files you need. Sometimes it depends on the mod author when you open the file it will say mod/mods just open it and move the pak file or folder named after the mod where it needs to go.

How does playing with mods installed affect trying to play on vanilla servers? Are there some mods that are clientside only and won't affect connecting? I presume having something like 'more carry weight' installed will cause a problem joining a vanilla server. But maybe map unlock wouldn't...?
for some reasons i can't scroll in WinRir i can't even find the small bar down that make me scroll and left right or left why don't these games just makes adding modes easier and takes seconds like Ark survival bruh

It works, but my luck for mods seems to be at it's finest, after trying to install pal radar minimap the frames plummeted to nothing. At least new soundtrack and lunaris skin works fine.
Does the increased Base and Worker mod need a new game or can I add that to an existing server without having me and my friends having to start over? Can't seem to find an answer to that on the mod page.

Edit: So I did a fresh reinstall and put everything in the right location this time. But I went ahead and downloaded some mods and my game kept crashing the moment I tried to load in but If I took them out then the game would let me in a world no problem. Any idea why this could be happening?

what if i installed the map unlocker mod to unlock the map and then i remove it (for whatever reason) , will the ingame map still be fully unlocked or will it revert back to the state it was pre-mod installation?
got so fucking confused due to never using winrar, thats to say that the game is now unplayable for me. some of the stuff you told me to put in like the ~mods and Mods folder were already there and the extraction path was to a C: folder and not a D: folder where i installed it. gonna deal with this in the morning 😮💨

@@nickbxmboo9161 check if you have any files from an older version of UE4SS still in your win64 folder, specifically XINPUT1_3 or XINPUT1_4 and delete that if its in there. fixed it for me
i cant get the Less Restrictive Building to work...i followed u step by step..i uninstalled every other mod..rechecked the stability of my files..installed both versdions of Less Restrictive Building and still not working

I got the problem that after i installed the UE4SS that whenever there is a xinput1_3.dll in my game folder the game crashes 1 sec after it boots up. It doesnt matter which mod i choose or how many as soon as i install any mod i cant run the game. Can you help me? Ps. I already changed the UE4SS- settings to false.

Every mod you download needs to get dragged into the correct folder/section for it to work

What if i use pal world thru xbox and not steam i use wemod which is super easy but i want to take my game on my phone theu cloud gaming

Most mods don't work on dedicated servers. Instead most work on single player only.

steam, sorry if i sounded upset i was just ready to sleep and wanted to set it up quick but it ended up taking me hours.

I have the latest version of the UE4SS zip but anytime I install it my game crashes, however the 2.5.2 version doesn't crash it. Any ideas?
You would have to delete the Xinput file

You would have to delete the xinput file when you download the UE4SS 3.0 file
