my personal opinion, tell me if this makes sense. I love both grips, they are both fun to use and give off a nice feeling. i would use sandpaper more if it lasted as long, but the foam grip lasts longer, and has a little more grip allowing me to ollie higher.
My first wooden fingerboard was the first generation Close Up fingerboard from 2009. It didn’t have foam grip but it was definitely superior to all the tech decks everybody had in elementary school
Why can't one TH-cam fingerboard star rise without another falling? Loved this video and it makes me miss all the other FB creators who don't upload anymore.
The end was hella sick🔥🔥🔥 and I was wondering for your next vid can you do a tutorial on easy flip to grind combos or something like that? But always love your vids and can’t wait for next Wensday!!!!!!👊🏿
coming from a not so advanced fingerboarder...much easier on foam. i can ollie, slide and do most kick flip i land...but with a teck deck i can barely ollie and it feel lacking control bad.
Wow those tricks I've just started yesterday found an ancient blind yellow graphic with sandpaper grip getting a new one for Christmas mine is so thin and the grip is wearing can't wait to test the difference between the new and old boards. I can Ollie stationary but rolling Ollie is hard I think I'm hitting the tail too hard I seem to be doing impossibles I can't get my front finger to lift the board but hopefully day 2 will improve your tricks are flawless wow it's like actual skating it's gonna take me ages to Ollie but I'll keep trying
I mean if you just a casual player or board just use the normal grip tape. It just the matter of skills to land a certain tricks, doesn't matter if you're using the normal grip tape or foam grip tape.
Was about to jump on that title so quick "ofc, is that even a question!?" Then looked over at my setups with duckytape and gecko grip soooo.. maybe not necessarily but still better then sandpaper grip
That kickflip was perfect and as close to actual skating as it gets YOUR HAND DIDNT GO SUPER HIGH COMPARED TO THE BOARD THATS THE SIGN OF A PERFECT TECH DECK FLIP
Foam grip tape honestly sucks, I literally lost my ability to do any tricks after I got a performance series tech deck and my arm would just freeze up every time. Switched back to a normal tech deck and I was immediately able to do everything again. So basically performance series boards are a scam
@sittingduck422 ducky tape is my personal preference. Not only is the grip INTENSE, long lasting amd easy to clean, its transparent which makes customizing the top of the board with stickers or markers completely unique to any user. My current setup has the @blackriverrampsoffical "uncommon pleasure" sticker under the grip. Opens up the world of creativity

Two jacks... Epic
Has anyone thought about this before? Foam grip on a real skateboard
Yeah there's a ton of brands out there that have that. DKL, braille, Onsra, ignite, etc..
Oh that's sick so I wasn't the only one to think about it
Yes i have really do
Ye i thinkd bout it but then i realized and im not sure but it could be destroyed with shoes
was actually a lot of boards in the 80s that did foam grip
Just putting foam grip on a regular tech deck makes it at least 2x as good
Ong it deff makes tech deck deck better with the foam my ollies has also gotten better
foam grip is pretty key. but! you don’t need foam grip because you got skills!
My first wooden fingerboard was the first generation Close Up fingerboard from 2009. It didn’t have foam grip but it was definitely superior to all the tech decks everybody had in elementary school
damn.. sick tricks and slowmo clips. im constantly trying to find vids that quickly get into that exactly..
❤️ Amazing video like always
I have that same pro series tech deck
Definitely one of my favorite graphics!!
I really enjoyed this Video. Keep it up my Dude. :)
I started fingerboarding when i was a baby, when i started to actually fingerboard i was using a 26mm techdeck with no grip so kids now have it easier
Lmao

I am the new rising star lol
@@psttechdecks4428 not till you get some better lighting and content besides random clips.

screw it more
WAIT N-
but actually try it or get a new one
Great video! I was wondering if you could make a how to do a kickflip on tech deck video! 🤙🔥🔥
Yesterday I realized I've started saying "appreciate that" all the time now 😅
coming from a not so advanced fingerboarder...much easier on foam.

You should record more videos and make a tab bit longer but other then that there great videos. I just got into fnigerboarding my self
Eyyyy solid fan from 🇵🇭PHILIPPINES!!!!!!!
I just use regular skate grip tape and it gives the same grip as the non-foam but dosent wear down
good idea
Thanks for the info Tech deck Jesus😊

👀🔥 dope video
4:14 on the gorilla pod lol Noice!
Ive noticed that your trucks on the tech deck leans. Mine seems to not want to lean. Is that something you did or is different than mines?
BTW there is lifehack for darkslides, put foam grip cut it from the middle part and put tech deck grip in the middle
i have old ones too and they are tooth picks in comparison
I mean if you just a casual player or board just use the normal grip tape. It just the matter of skills to land a certain tricks, doesn't matter if you're using the normal grip tape or foam grip tape.
*Brother foam griptape And Sand grip tape And which one is better and which one is convenient to use*
It’s so strange your parents wouldn’t let you skateboard. I guess I should be grateful my parents supported me in my hobbies
This is impossible i will never get this but u r amazing
You'll get it just keep practicing! Everyone starts somewhere
This skill takes a while to master but its definitely not impossible. Keep your head up!
0:54 thats wat she said
I am perfering this "pro" model tech decks....they are absolutely amazing
OMG! I watched 2 of ur vids and you have 2 of the same primitive tech decks
*DAVID JONES & JACK PERRY should Collab!!!*
how do you keep a tech deck in the air without any types of tape?
bruh Jesus has his kickflips on LOCKKK , this is insane💯
Was about to jump on that title so quick "ofc, is that even a question!?" Then looked over at my setups with duckytape and gecko grip soooo.. maybe not necessarily but still better then sandpaper grip
I'm planning on swapping to a foam griptape, cause after 4 days of fingerboarding, my fingerprints are already halfway grinded off.
In my opinion I like the sandpaper griptape more, beceause less cleaning more playing
is foam grip supposed to be rubbery or like sandpaper
Foam grip is more grippy, soft while sandpaper is rough and can also be grippy also Foam grip is rubbery.
@@RonoR7 thanks
@@chadwhiney4410 also foam griptape lasts longer so thats also a good thing about foam.
Nice boards
Foam is more for if you want to use it for more time
I just ordered my first wooden finger board but been on the teck deck since I was 6-7 maybe younger and I’m now 20
Columbus oh?? I live by you dude haha thats awesome
He lives in cincinnati
you are amaizing I love your hair
i litteraly have the same techdeck but i added foam grip. anyway, i ordered a better from asi shop :D
Try the riptape or FBS smooth
The real question is which one hurt more?
Video idea: foam tape for real skateboard
You should try the eraser bendy board teck deck board
Yo I can’t wait to watch
Appreciate your support 🙏🙏
@@JackPerryFingerboard np bro btw I’m proud to say I’ve been here since 500 subs but uhh you got like 14k my guy congrats
Wdym foam vs regular? Foam is the regular for fingerboards, and the only time you will see sandpaper grip is on a musty crusty tech deck!
That kickflip was perfect and as close to actual skating as it gets YOUR HAND DIDNT GO SUPER HIGH COMPARED TO THE BOARD THATS THE SIGN OF A PERFECT TECH DECK FLIP
OHIO? hey man i love your videos you really inspire me then the other fingerboarder or skater youtubers.
Will the king reply we will find out

There is a thing called preference

in every jump he must do a kickflip
