I think it's a super cool idea to do an investigation inside and during a major conflict. The level of stress and tension for both the players and characters would be threw the roof.

What a campaign !........that is some great writing.....and yet again the Hands of Forbidden Knowledge is here in this form ........to spare it...... the world trembles.
Just finished running Iconoclasts for my group. It's a really interesting campaign, but I feel it needs a bit more content to challenge the Agents as the Sons of War and the Father of War don't pose a direct threat to the players for most of the campaign. I felt a need to add in a couple of other opposing forces to put pressure on the players.
I was tempted to pick this up but I've seen criticism of later stages in the campaign that become a "resource spreadsheet simulator" for the players. Is that actually valid?
@@mikenolan73 No, I don't agree with that. But there is a long stretch where the players are expected to mostly be doing backroom trades with various intelligence groups, and the campaign book has 10-15 pages dedicated specifically to how to resolve those types of interactions. Personally, I ignored much of that and focused on developing interesting spy thriller scenes off my own inspiration. If you expect the requisitioning rules to produce all your playable surface, you'll have weeks where the players do nothing but roll requests and wait for news to see if they've been fired due to fallout. You need to do quite a bit of legwork to make the spycraft stuff engaging.
Glad you're finally reviewing this mini-campaign. "Iconoclasts" is the Delta Green version of Call of Cthulhu's "Masks of Nyarlathotep" 👍🏼

I thought the first four lines of the adhan were particularly appropriate for this scenario.

Really considering getting this especially since Adam Scott Glancy wrote it. Otherwise, it has been really hard to feel the love for DG lately because Mr Detwiller does not have the self-regulation to not isolate gamers with divergent ideologies. I don't get the sales strategy there and wonder if others at ArcDream have asked him to cool it a bit.

I'm pretty sure they didn't ask him to cool it, no. Ultimately, they sell their product to who they want.

I can't make heads or tails of it either.
Essentially telling Christians to F off at every opportunity and even suggesting airlocking folk with my beliefs. That's all I mean.
