The 80s is a feeling idealized, an experience that lives on inside of us. A feeling is timeless and a sensation available at any age. Good times are forever. To truly enjoy 80s or any other time, it is best to disconnect temporarily from your current situation. Meditate or something, destress, do a 5 minute workout or something. Just don't be thinking about bills or your schedule etc. We didn't think about that stuff when ee were young. We must not be occupied but available to the experience. Let go, clear your mind. Like in a computer, shutdown all programs and maybe have just your true self program running, and think about the one that got away or something that you really enjoyed back then while listening to the music. As long as you are not actively engaged with the present, you can enjoy the 80s as your younger self. Your brain doesn't know the difference. You can not be saying, yea but this and that, don't be analyzing and comparing. You have to step all in to your younger identity who only knew what was then. Just be present and allow the music to do what it does.
