I absolutely love this painting. I’m a novice and tried to paint this for my own enjoyment but it looked like a kindergartner did it. I just couldn’t get depth in the painting. My layering completely covered what was there before. I got as far as the waves. I didn’t attempt the ship. I will just appreciate your work! Lol

If the largest canvas I have is 11x14" and I dont have one of those larger flat round brushes, what would you suggest I use to start the painting?
Hi Jen, any large brush will do! You can soften harsh lines and streaks with a soft and dry brush while it’s still wet 😊
What is the round large brush called and where might I find one? Don't believe I've ever seen one in the art stores. Thank you and happy holidays.
Hi Robert, it’s called a round chalk paint brush. You can find them in most paint departments, people use them for chalk painting furniture etc..

Thank you Joni. I want to attempt this. Question - the turquoise that you use, is that Aqua Green from Liquitex or Amsterdam Turquoise Green?
It’s bright aqua green turquoise from Liquitex basics 😊 But no matter what turquoise you use, it will look beautiful!

BE SOFT , AND NOT HARD , THE HARD APPLICATIONS WILL
BE HARD TO WORK WITH , BUT THE SOFT WILL BE MUCH
MORE FORGIVING DURING THE BLENDING STAGE , FOR SOME
COLORS WILL ALMOST DISAPPEAR YIELDING TO NEW COLORS
CREATED BY THE APPLICATION OF TRANSLUCENT COLORS ,
THE TRANSLUCENT COLORS ARE THIN , WHILE THE OPAQUE
COLORS SEEM TO BE THICKER , "" SOFT , JUST A WHISPER , DON'T FORCE THE PAINT , APPLY THE PAINT , SOFTLY "" !!
REMEMBER THAT RED AND PURPLE COMPLEMENT EACH OTHER , BUT , HARD LINES ARE YOUR ENEMIES IN PAINTING ,

Hi Walt, thank you! I’m using a chalk paint brush. You can find them online, arts and crafts stores and even sometimes in home improvement stores (paint department)

I love to watch you paint. I watch a lot of tutorials, and of those I've watched, you are the only one who paints without drawing it in first. You paint as you go, and I find that amazing. This one is by far the one I like best.

Welcome to my channel Marie! I was given that one as a gift.. this video is from a few yrs ago and I now like to use soft mop brushes. I have my own line of brushes coming out the first week of May 2023. I’ll be launching them here live so stay tuned 🤗

Have you painted with acrylic metallic paint sets? Would there be anything that you could let us know about them as well with the neon paint acrylics? I am a beginner with an interest in knowing and applying to learn
Thanks for your question Lorna, I have a few tutorials here using and demonstrating metallic paints!!:) as for the neons, I use them in 95% of my videos so you’ll learn a ton 👍🎨🤗

That’s a great idea for a video! I make mistakes often, I’m a messy painter and am always fixing splatters or drips off my canvas
