I wish the other companies made cutouts so you can easily crack their slabs. I hate those dang things. I bust out every coin that I buy in those. And I only buy them if it's underpriced, or I really really love the coin. It's so sketchy busting open PCGS slabs.
Never noticed… you may be right and time will tell but I gotta say I hated them at first till I owned a few and they are my favorite holder now by far! They are very durable, sourced and made in the US, and I think they look great.
I've always known Certified Acceptance to be a grading confirmation company for PCGS, NGC, and ANACS graded coins. But apparently they have started grading themselves. A CAC sticker was a symbol of a quality coin. But I agree with you. That holder looks cheap & ripe for tampering. My respect for their company just lost a few points. I hope you didn't pay more than about $30 for that Half.
They sell fake blank slabs(with the fake lables). I would Crack it open, this thing has a thumb hole. Did you send this to them, or did you buy it peer to peer?
Just bought a 1955 Proof Franklin NGC-69 ! $285

I'll have to take a look at those side cut outs.
