Kihyun dies in place of Jooheon, IM let's go of Minhyuks hand so that IM is the one taken, Wonho gets caught by the time authorities and Shownu is safe. Hyungwon reminds me of a mix of the char tears from Goblin.
So yeah my theory is that they all have someone in the past the wanted to see again and Hyungwon granted their wish. Wonho wanted to see Shownu so they could spar, probably to see who was better at the wielding the sword (stick) thing but mostly because they look forward to each other's presence. Minhyuk wanted to see his childhood friend I.M but the time keepers got to them first and Kihyun wanted to save Jooheon from his fate of dying in a car crash. If you noticed you would see Kihyun went to 2015 and Minhyuk went to 2017. If you also know 2015 is their debut era and 2017 is when dramarama is out and i don't know when wonho ended up. If you saw the future timeline it said 2047 so maybe they want to accomplish that amount of years with each other.....anyway Kihyun kept going back in time because no matter how much he wanted to change the past he was always a few seconds too late, no matter how fast they run or how well Minhyuk and I.M hide from the time masters (police) they always found them and no matter how Shownu and wonho fought they could not know who was probably the winner. Basically I think this signify that even though we wish for things to be different time just can't be changed unless one makes a huge sacrifice. We could either sacrifice at a bigger price or learn to cope with it. In the end Hyungwon made an appearance when Kihyun kept trying to save Jooheon, he was trying to fix the watch in away to help in his distress. Hyungwon was there and Kihyun wanted to save Jooheon no matter the cost and so he made a choice equal to that of saving the life of Jooheon, he had to sacrifice his own. He made the choice and Hyungwon granted his request. The time masters (police) caught up to wonho and Minhyuk, where they forcefully took wonho's watch so he can never visit Shownu and they damaged Minhyuk's watch so he is separated from his childhood friend and for Kihyun he died so that Jooheon could live. In the end time seemed to be everyone's enemy and friend because in life stuff happen that we might not be able to change so what we have to do is enjoy it while everything lasts. We might have regrets and pain but we should at least try to spend more time with the people we cherish before it is too late and time catches up to us. Also they broke the law because time travel is forbidden and has serious consequences.
