@ali81085 I have not drove the 1198 but I can say this the S1k ABS is the best! a car pulled out in front of me and the ABS saved my bike. The power of the BMW is untouchable by any bike Street or track. The bike feels like a 600 but has more power then a zx14

Mesh/textile pant's r doable for summer, or jan's with protection underneath is ideal (Can't always be ideal).. And yes, back protector's are best worn inside that's my only gripe :(. Nice bike man! I ordered mine, 2012 blackRR they come fully loaded in Canada, I got alarm and heated grips too (6), ride safe!

This bike is a copy of GSX-R1000 design. GSX-Rs were flying on BMW test tracks for 6 years before they released S1000RR because german engineers had no idea how to design a proper superbike.
