Academic catalogs often state "no prerequisites" to encourage enrollment, meaning there are no formal courses required before taking DBMS. However, instructors might assume that students have a certain level of foundational knowledge for the course to proceed efficiently.
Sir but how to apply it practically , i mean how to create sql databases , i think courses should be practical approach based , and not only showing slides , i had gone through all last and saw no practicals, only slides , so how one can apply what learnt as professialism is about working practically , although therotical approach is good , but I souppose it should be interactive and practical, just like statistics , course 1
You won't get access to quizes, weekly assignments mock tests and programming exams which help tremendously other than that you can learn all the theory from here and apply them in your own personal work if you want
All the new courses that I find on NPTEL nowadays are all slide presentation courses . It's extremely boring , hard to maintain your concentration and worst to way to study if a student is deciding to take quality notes on their own . It's honestly sad that some courses on the same topics from 10 years ago are much more interesting to follow rather than these newer ones but I am hesitant to follow them because i am not sure whether they contain up-to-date information . NPTEL professors and team , if you are listening to this then please stop using this cheap way of teaching and actually focus on traditional method of teaching (writing pad/greenboard). NPTEL used to be one of the best platforms to study from but i can't say the same.
Finally some content to pass time ❤️
So keened to learn from him 🙏

Very impressive and detailed lectures❤
In the academics page, DBMS is said to have no prerequisites. But, Sir gave a whole big list of various prerequisites. How to deal with this?
