I'm screaming inside. The way you read it was so...honest. I read stories out loud sometimes and I have to take breaks just as often. This story though, it's too relatable. This is how I feel almost everyday. Usually I disassociate in short bouts. But sometimes they last so long and I hate it. Every time it happens, I feel broken. The grounding techniques too. Digging my nails into my palm or arm or thigh. That is only when I feel like I can move at all or put all of my efforts into moving my hand. It takes a lot of energy for me to even move a little. When I'm forced to keep being "calm" I go into my numb mode and it sucks because I'm a very emotional person and going numb causes my emotions to multiply too quickly and once I'm out of numb mode I explode with adrenaline and emotions and I can't really control it. Usually I end up with painful laughing attacks.....
Anyways....
This was great! I really needed this! Seeing one of my favorite characters dealing with things I've been dealing with was weirdly comforting.

I really like your voice and the fic is good but maybe think about cropping out whenever you repeat something you’ve miss read because it kinda breaks up the story and makes it hard to follow. And please don’t see this as offensive because I’ve never done podficing so I have no idea what it’s like and I can only judge the listening experience 😢
