As Clinton mentions, "selective memory" and the facts of the times. America was crazy right wing conservative during these times to the point were gay marriage may have been banned by constitutional amendment. Conservatives were "law and order" insane. The country has changed, he has changed, he did the best he could at the time. Every child must feel like they are valued. Easier said than done, consider a place like Afghanistan or how much Trump's mentality has set us back. Imho he is a genius and one of the best communicators this side of Lincoln. Who else is giving back to this extent. Btw, I've had my run-in's with the law. It's a crime and can make life and one's future very difficult. Something needs to change. He used Jon Stewart because 1. Easier to announce in small clubs starting out, and 2. If he did, I think he would be dedicating himself to make amends and perhaps rehabilitate himself in the eyes of the world. However, this fits his pattern - try something, fail dismally and run away. His "military service", his failed oil business, and his Presidency - all dismal. His Governorship was no too terrible, so I guess he had to take that next step...

I was saying it's completely insane. You're agreeing with me, believe it or not.

I like how you go out of your way to say that Stewart is not his real Jewish name. I don't know to what conspiracy theory this trivial fact points to, but I'm sure it's fascinating.

My comment was not about their Presidencies, but about the dedication to public service, and character displayed by the actions AFTER leaving office. Carter has been a fine example of this. Reagan made no attempt, but he was old and ill, so I give him a pass. Ford did little, though he had almost 25 healthy years after office. The senior Bush has done a bit (almost all in cooperation with Clinton initiatives) and George jr. has done very little and most of that was, again through or with Clinton

One question do people actually know the meaning of impeach? I was talking to a friend the other day an he said we should impeach Obama and replace him with mitt. People don't really know the meaning of impeachment.

I think that is ingrained in people from media. I know I lived through both clinton and bush 1 and now obama. people just respected clinton from the get go and from the get go bush 1 was "a funny guy who couldn't talk worth a lick"

Very astute observation. However, I must point out that the first Bush has been quite active with Clinton in his global initiatives, at least until his health became an issue. As far as your urging people to think-many people don't want to do this-it's much easier to be spoon fed crap by Faux News. Peace.

Or you could just get rid of lobbying. I wonder which is the more serious solution.
