MORELLA, Castellón 4K | The Old Town within a City Wall | Spain | Cinematic Travel

In this Video VIEWS BEYOND shows you a hidden gem in Spain. More precisely Morella is a lovely old town, located in the Province of Castellón in the Valencian Community. Even though this small village is very near to the sea, it lies almost over 1000 meters above sea level (984 m). You can also see that in the way they built the houses in Morella. The roofs are way more stable and thicker compared to the buildings which are built closer to the sea. You wouldn't expect it but during winter it gets extremly cold in Morella and even snow is no rarity. So don't forget your jacket when you intend to visit during the winter months!
This beautiful old town is very managebable by foot. The sightseeings are clearly the local castle which towers above the city, the impressive church Santa María la Mayor and the nearby viaduct. (both built in gothic design, 14th century) Also there are a lot of unique shops, bars and restaurants across the atmospheric narrow streets.
Morella is perfect for a day trip especially when you're already in the region of Valencia!
