Subscribed! In all my years spent interacting with content creators on TH-cam (no matter how big or small), never has a TH-camr went to such great lengths to answer a question of mine! I dearly appreciate it and you're an awesome man doing an awesome job!
A bit of background to my question: having recently moved into a house with a nice big yard, after previously living in a block of flats (hope I got that term right) I realized that I need to bring my DIY skills and tool set for that matter, to a whole new level. Right now I'm looking for a circular saw that will help me accomplish as many tasks as possible around the house, including building some very simple furniture like wooden storage boxes that will sit in the attic. So that's why I was curious of just how "far" I can go with this tool before hitting its limitations. Since I don't have any king of proper shop setup at the new house, and it will take a few good years until I'll get around to build one, I decided that it's not yet worth to sink money into more expensive professional tools that will sit on a shelf most of the time. Digging around the internet, I came to the conclusion that Stanley Fatmax line of battery operated tools may just be a good sweet spot for me. So now I'm focusing on getting as much information on these tools before I actually pull the trigger and start buying.
And if may be so bold as to make a suggestion: whenever possible, please include a section about the accuracy of a tool. I noticed that few youtubers focus on this aspect, and I'm sure there are a lot of viewers like me that need to get as much as possible from a mid-level or even entry level tool.
Once again, great job! Now I'm off to browse your videos cause I'm also looking for a battery powered angle grinder :). And I want to learn how to weld in the next two years!
Although it may seem silly, I watched with video with a bog smile on my face! You really made may day a great one!
Any plans to review also the bigger brother of this saw, the SFMCS550B?

😃 Thanks so much for the comment. I always appreciate anyone that spends time watching my content or taking the time to comment 😁. For me the Stanley fatmax V20 range fits my budget perfectly. Yes it would be great to have a workshop full of high end tools but this is just a hobby for me and I never make any money from the things I do. I know I could get lots of cheap power tools but then I would end up with so many different battery platforms It would cost me more in the long run. I was a big fan of Workzone tools from Aldi but when they changed to Ferrex the batteries changed so I went down the Stanley route and im so glad I did. They may not be suitable for everyone, but they are perfect for me. As I said, I'm not sponsored by them or anything and I've had to buy them all myself so I do try and take care of them as much as I can. I don't think I will be reviewing its big brother any time soon, I just don't have the funds to buy one (yet). You never know, one day Stanley may notice my channel and throw some tools at me... but thats not very likely 😆. Good luck with your new home and enjoy the process of building stuff (I would start by building a workshop 😆😆). Thanks again for watching, take care 😁👍

Another good explanation Frank. It seems also that the laser fairy left a present in your shop. 😁

Great explanation Frank. I think we've become spoilt where the human error outweighs the tools accuracy

😁 I think I can safely say that my "human inaccuracy " is at worst "inconsistent"... and at best.. "consistently inconsistent" 😆😆. But its always easier to blame the scale on the tool... but in most cases... I'm the tool 🤣🤣. Thanks for watching James 😁👍
