Donny and Marie Osmond's show was my favorite show on Friday night. I still remember it so much to this day. I was so in love with Donny Osmond and was my favorite. I loved all the original osmond brothers with Donny. Loved Marie 's paper roses song too. She is so beautiful to this day. Donny is still handsome too. Love you guys!!! 💕
One of my favorite songs I believe I watched every show you guys put on love the Donnie and Marie show grew up watching you both. I love the way Marie Osmond song.
Thirty-three years ago, my fiancé and I were attending a marriage preparation weekend at a Capuchin monastery in Garrison, NY. I read that R&B vocal legend LaVern Baker would be performing that Saturday night at the Bearsville Theatre, a hip little venue close to Woodstock, NY. We snuck out after dinner, making the one-hour drive in the dark. The highlight of Baker's show was this song, sung as a duet with her male backup singer. Killer! I had never heard this 1963 pop classic before; and my fiancé taught me the basics of harmony singing as we wailed on this tune continuously the whole drive back. We're happily married to this day, with that soulful performance perhaps helping to bless our union together. Baker passed away in 1997, buried in an unmarked grave in Queens, NY, but I still hold this memory very dear to my heart.
A truly beautiful song and I love their harmony. They always sang so well together , they were just fantastic . Some time later I watched to my amazement Cliff Richard and Olivia Newton John sing this duet together in England and I almost fell off my chair . I didn't think anybody could match Donnie and Marie on this one , but honestly not only did Cliff and Olivia nail it , I actually thought that maybe, just maybe , they were slightly even better , it was hard to say . I guess it was a time when so many of our entertainers actually had talent . I unfortunately cant say the same for todays lot . Thank you for this video , I have always loved Donnie and Marie . My whole family just adored the Osmonds .
