Im GLAD TotK tried to be a different game with a different experience instead of just BotW all over again. Look at it this way. Revisiting your hometown after years and seeing that so much is changed, is a new and unique experience of its own.

After tingle was captured by the fairy , tingle is now trapped in the world in darkness where he has to endure the same song and run for all eternity while listening to the man himself saying anything he wants to. Now that’s a theory
you should try going to the title cutscreen room if you're on 1.2.0.use about 3000 zonaite to spawn those fences, die, do that several more times, and then get killed in the demon dragon fight.with quite some luck you'll be in a pitch black room with the walls of the title.considering that only 3people have successfully gone there, it would be cool to see you there.
