The BMG & Carbotech Submersible is a winner! Panerai is moving forward. They dare to change. I like that they do things differently allthough they keep a link with their DNA of military tool company. Strong strategical thinking! Good job Panerai!
The PAM 960 Carbotech Submersible is the newly crowned King! If you can splurge for the extra; the Carbotech 42mm fits like a glove; the tactile click while turning the bezel surpasses Rolex and yes - even the Fifty Fathoms. The 960 is the newly crowned 300mm king pushing far more character and personality than any of its competitors. Also, at 14k market pricepoint, a far more practical step into Carbo with real Italian style you will immensely enjoy while not overpaying 35k for the AP Carbon-fiber Offshore.
I've always liked the rugged look of the submersible but could never feel comfortable with the size. So, I like the new 42mm options which provide the same look in reasonable proportions.
Bought a used panerai 616 carbotech for about $11k vs. $17k. Absolutely love it. Think its because i got it at $11k. No way I would pay $17k for it though.
I LOVE this concept! I really do. Create a Real life experience for your most cherished clients for them to tie to their purchase. Instead of imagining that you’re an Italian Navy Seal or a Whale Chaser, you can actually become one , and then be rewarded by a watch which you will never want to flip for a few dollars. Although I don’t think I’m necessarily That particular Customer, I can certainly respect what Panerai is trying to do here. I love that these watches are true Limited Editions’( 15 and 19 etc!) and unusual in their construction. I wish more Manufacturers would really considered The unique experiences their brand they can offer their customers. In the mean time, I’ll learn to be satisfied with just dreaming of owning one day an old PAM275, PAM233 or PAM372.
In general I love the Panerai watches but the failled this year as they did last year with the Due line up. I was hoping for more submersible watches but instead of bringing more 44mm cases they only came out with 42 mm and 47mm watches. This is a big mistake imho. Size 42mm is not very popular (look at second hand market) and maybe only for the Asian market. In other words 42mm is ok, but you don't need a lot of models in 42mm and inho 42mm is not real DNA of the brand for subs. The 47mm cases are too big, too expensive and a disappointment. They look like a hublot and a bit over the top. Not classy and certainly not 15K or more. IMHO 44mm is the sweet spot and a good size for a sub. By the way the watch trend is that watches are becoming smaller again. Another problem with the new subs is the price and the materials. Not everybody loves the carbotech material. Panerai had one or two in the line up and that was fine. Bringing more of them is a strange move. It would have been better to bring new models in steel 44mm with new movements and ceramic bezels. Just my 2 cents.
as you've said the watch trend is becoming smaller again that's why panerai makes 42mm submersible. Try on the 42mm it doesn't wear small due to the cushion case and crown guard. Definitely wears bigger than a 42mm planet ocean.
I guess the dream of owning my favorite watch can be forgotten now that the elite criminals will be the only ones in the US that could even afford a timex soon.

There is nothing wrong with the due range, I bought my wife one and she loves it. 47 mm size is great not too big at all.

Panerai lost me with their Brooklyn Bridge model scandal.
I am still baffled by the low subscriber count on your channel
Recycle material and no more nice wood box, what is going on here.
You spent the whole time talking to less than a hundred people. The only cool watch is the green carbotech. You're not allowing me to spend my money!!
Panarai, make your watches smaller and you can sell better.
Or start working out and be a man.
I don’t like this whole recycled garbage and charge premiums for it....
