Before anyone else runs to the comments to run their mouths I am not speaking for myself. Im full on aware, as a former college graduate, that education helps to land better jobs. Focus your mind on those who cannot afford college. "OH theres financial aid," i thought you just said "dont rely on government assistance?" So much hypocrisy. Im saying i cannot imagine how ANYONE who is working minimum wage can afford a lifestyle to maintain a comfortable financial stability with transport costs, food costs, rent increases, and not to mention pet fees and deposits. Instead of hopping on the troll train, help make a change in voting to promote wage and salary increase. The entire point of the video is to get people to realize and understand that $15 or less is unacceptable because how society is right now is very expensive and how jobs should be offering more money. If you didnt get that from the video and you looking to argue otherwise, 😂 Ill just delete your comment, lol. Thank you for your time! ❤😊
@prettyreddbrii i mean, its really not hard, hell, most fast food places in my area pay over double the state minimum wage. Either find a job that pays more, move somewhere cheaper to live, or cut back on what you spend, looks like you have a nice car, most likely making payments, probably a smartphone, along with God knows what else that isn't a necessity. It's called living within your means.
@scarygamer7359 Youre right and i actually stand by the saying "Living within your means" Just so we're clear i dont make $15/hr, BUT i had a 2nd job that did and even with weekly pay im like no way, which points back to my video and why i said what i said. If someones only job was a $15 waged job in this economy thats unfair to them and should always be offered more. 🙄 Its not that its misunderstood that moving to a new area, or cutting back on lesiures could resolve some money issues. I can afford what i have, sir. Im not posting about myself👍🏽 Sorry if my video had misled you to believe anything other than the fact that minimum wages jobs should offer more money because $15 is unacceptable in this economy.
@prettyreddbrii government boosting of minimum wage causes prices to increase, or people get laid off, and on top of that, cripples small business. The minimum wage in my state is $7.25 or $7.50. No one pays that low because no one is willing to take the job. Mcdonald's pays 16-18. To clear my own comment up a bit, when I referred to "you," it refers to whoever is in that situation, not necessarily you specifically.
It sucks. It’s tough. It’s hungry and thirsty. I swear to you it gets better if you keep making the right choices and don’t give up. It’s taken many many years even after school.. Good luck out there :)
Just work harder than everyone around you and you’ll make more. No matter where you work or what company it’s for if your the best you will be paid the best and if not leave that company and find one that appreciates your grind. Minimum wage was meant to separate the bums from the back bones of America
Somw of your advice will lead to extreme burn out, which could lead to work injury and noone is waiting for workers comp to kick in just to issue a small fee that wont cover hospital expenses. Most jobs doesnt pay people what their worth. I think wages and salary increases should be considered in the next election for mayor. Sometimes, being an 'overachiever' or simply micromanaging gets you overlooked anyway. Youre no longer a team player, more like a 'pick-me."
