Bengt Rundgren is wonderful, really evil-sounding, and vocally comfortable in the role, singing as naturally as if he were speaking in ordinary conversation. Jess Thomas is sweet.
3:19:33: First time I hear laughter and Boos while Hagen murders Siegfried. Too much realism by Patrice Chéreau? And of course at the end: 4:00:28 Was this the very Premiere of the Chéreau-Ring?
The first years of Chereau's Ring were filled with boos and controversy. Knie replaced G Jones on this performance, which was not the premiere itself but the second performance of Gotterdammerung.

Thank you so much for posting this. Roberta Knie, wow!
Robertie Knie is like a smaller voiced Berit Lindholm. Love videos like this that feature wagnerian sopranos that where overlooked.
