oh dude no shit! i've heard of brian from a few friends. heard he always does great work. used to do a shoot or two live with beartooth but i believe that was before brian, or at least we never crossed paths.
I remember playing shows with Connor 12 years ago when he was just a kid he was so ahead of his time. He used to play for this band down here in South Florida It was called sleep patterns with his brother Ryan Dennis look them up and you'll see even his drumming was incredible back then. It's funny because even then when he was a kid he used to tune alot of the guys snares before a show 😂 words can't describe how happy I am for this dude and how far he's made it I remember when we used to listen to attack attack and how we were such fans of that band. And now he's in the band touring with Caleb Shomo It's so crazy how life comes full circle!
Years and years ago, I randomly stumbled across a video of this kid(who I now know is Connor) getting drum lessons from Aaron Gillespie. Now watching these vids of Connor and then watching vids of Aaron, you can really see the influence Aaron had on him. His playing and his presence while behind the kit remind a lot of Aaron. Very neat realization to have come to.
I'm not even a drummer and I scrolled down to post about how good that mix sounded. I read all the other comments and they're saying the same thing. Seriously praise the guy that's responsible for that!
@@LukaS-yn4ir That's not true, sampling uses midi which has 128 levels of velocity. Modern sampling isn't one velocity unless you're stuck many many years ago. It's sampled, I saw them live on this tour and it was very clearly sampled live too (which it sounded great, I'm not saying that it's bad). Anyone who thinks these are live drums doesn't know what they're talking about.
Aaron Gillespie played truth and meinl with his rack tom really low and flat on a snare stand, Conor did the exact same thing. Aaron switched to grestch and zildjian now with his rack tom really high and angled towards him, Connor did the exact same thing. Lol. Conor followed those things exactly. And of course you can tell he tailored his technique and style from Aaron and plays with that same energy Aaron was famously known for. Any drummer can notice that. He even has almost the same exact cymbal set up as well from how many to the actual model and types of cymbals he plays. Maybe not exact but pretty damn close and same sound. Now I know he took lessons from Aaron growing up but I can’t help but only think of Aaron whenever I see connor play. Sick ass drummer tho and everyone has an idol and someone to look up to and learn from either personally or from a far but I just think doin each exact thing like your idol or another artist is kinda wack, every drummer as a musician and as an artist each expressing ourselves in our own way should find some originality in this art form but either way huge fan of Connor.
The whole kit mix is unreal but that kick drum sound is ridiculous. The kind that if you were at that show, every time it hits, it makes your heart go out of rhythm.
+Drummer Alpha I can definitely tell it's the sweet ride here because I I have one myself and the finish and bell shape are the exact same as this, great ride cymbal and definitely 'sweet'
@@kutsumiru I saw him last November, and he’s really good. But still, it takes a toll on you using your voice like that and jumping around a lot every night.

this entire drum mix is unreal. not sure who is running sound for them right now, but goddamn, he deserves an award.
My dude Brian Meadows ran FOH for them on this tour! He's also Issues' FOH aswell

Nate Viejon Yup!
+Nate Viejon that explains a lot, Josh's sound is amazing too. So punchy, just like this.
+Jason Cox +NathanDrums
Yeah he's killer! Him and Josh produced/engineered my band's last record
HOLY SNARE
controlfreq11 that shit is BOLD
oh man I shouldn't be listening to this b4 bed. Getting too hyped.
1:47 That stick throw just to make sure that he's being enough of a badass
That's no ordinary snare. That's the sound you get when Batman slaps Robin
It's a custom snare. I forget what the material is but it apparently weighs like 30 pounds
Sam Jimenez it's a Gretsch Phosphorus Bronze Snare, 14x6.5. It costs like $1,270. Sounds awesome!
@@drummeralpha Gotta love them metal shell snare drums!
Or Batman slap catwonan’s butt..😾✊
That snare is fucking mental!
Geez. I have watched this video so many times just in awe. The kick is monstrous. Like a freaking cannon.

Caleb has improved so much live. He doesn't sound so winded.

That snare sounds so good I can’t breathe

That bass drum is the reason why I'm saving for a Gretsch kit
Playing this video through my speaker system, I can feel that kick in my chest, from my sub-woofer. So meaty.

It's sampled. Probably not even from that kit.

these people do the 101% on stage I swear!
Boy Howdy he's a kickass drummer. Even on laptop speakers that snare is a force of Nature. I'd love to shake their soundman's hand.

that flam fill at 0:30 is super tasty
All I can do is think of those videos of Aaron Gillespie teaching this dude, not the biggest fan of the music, but heavy hitting drummers for sure.
sound good
Lol everything about this guy screams Aaron Gillespie right from the setup to his haircut.
Rakshith Bekal Aaron actually taught him
@alphant1 now he's good.
Damn..
delcious mix
Please please get video of dan searle from architects!!
NickYDGn I tried. -___- ha

What's connor's haircut I want to cut my hair like that too ^ ^
this drummer is so dope,is he in any other bands?
Jesus - that snare.
that's me playing drums!
beartooth is obviously fed very well
do you know what snare he is using?
14x6.5 Gretsch Phosphor Bronze
I’m so happy right now . I don’t know why , it’s probably because of that dude who mixed the whole thing .

Jesus4Life snareweight
Sangar 👹👺👹

Why did he leave BAAO?
eddie carrillo For this EXACT opportunity.
I bet this guy Gos through cymbals like nobody's business
What happened to the other drummer?
Somebody sample that snare right now and send it to me for god sake
RIP CYMBALS
1:21 The Dude wear a BMTH shirt😂
is the kick a 24 or a 26?
what is that ride cymbal? a medium?
He uses a zildjian A sweet ride, also been known to use a K light ride as well.
NathanDrums I've heard that he dislikes the A sweet ride cause he always breaks them lol
Parker Gallagher like NathanDrums said, it is a Sweet Ride, at least in this video. I believe is the 23" if I'm not mistaken.

Fucken hell, you make beartooth, As much as travis made blink182.

Daz Black on drums
is that just a gretsch catalina rock (24,16,12) kit?
Corey Walvatne It's a renown kit, not sure the sizes
Corey Walvatne 13,16,24 with a US phosphorus snare, or a USA chrome over brass both 14x6.5 (Credit to Connor's Instagram, wouldn't know otherwise 😂)
Corey Walvatne Tim Cayem did a gear rundown with him if you want to check it out. He goes over his whole kit. 👍🏼
Malditas drogas..😏
Get Spencer from archspire
