YES! Also the reason why it was such a satisfying experience watching the show by each episodes, there's always constant character development even though it's a very slow progress.

5th grade memories, i discovered this show from the cute stickers my sister gave me, then i watched it when it was still airing from our local tv. In order to watch the rest of the episodes i bought ccs dvd. Ah the memories, my 10 year old self really shipping them so hard
I made my 9 y.o niece watch this and she gets so giddy whenever these two have these moments. I remember being like that many years ago, but the struggle to watch 3 parts each episode on youtube was a nightmare 💀😂

This series had some...interesting concepts as old as it was. Definitely enjoyed the Sakura and Syaoran relationship but when I rewatched it as an adult, I really noticed Tomoyo's more-than-friendship feelings for Sakura. (And no, I am not a shipper. I objectively feel that the writers put that in there, as I feel others noticed too). And of course how she chose not to pursue it because she knew Sakura did not see her more than her closest friend, and did not want to ruin that bond. Instead she did her upmost to be there for Sakura and support her 100% in everything, even relationships. And not just Sakura, Tomoyo was the most supportive and kindest to Syaoran too, encouraging him in different ways to realize his feelings for Sakura and Sakura to realize her feelings for Syaoran.
There was also the strange relationship Sakura's parents had. Her mother having been a, what, 16 year old student of her father when they fell in love? Then there was Sakura's classmate who was in love with one of her teachers too, the classmate who became possessed by the Sword Clow Card. Though in the new Clear Card series that whole thing seemed to disappear without a trace. Though x2 I didn't watch the entire series. Touya's relationship with the student aid lady was also kind of strange when you think about it. She really was the best.
I'm 20 and didn't see Tomoyo having romantic feelings about Sakura. I always saw her being a super friend, loving the Shaoran x Sakura moments and enjoying making costumes for Sakura. That's it.
I see the relationship Tomoyo wants with Sakura and it makes me kinda sad as it reminds me of something going on with girl I want to date but she keeps telling me she's scared it'll ruin our friendship :(

I recently got into Inuyasha and after finishing TFA I realized how alike Inuyasha and Syaoran are at times. They both do funky magic stuff with a sword, they fall in love with the main character which so happens to be a magical girl, in the beginning of both of the series they are both cold (and idk if I’d say Syaoran had anger issues but uh), they soften up as the series moves on, yada yada. Yue already explained that to Syaoran about his feeling towards Yukito. It is because Yue uses moon power and Syaoran power also based on moon. So he basically attracted to Yue's power inside Yukito, not to Yukito himself.
