Congratulations. Feel honestly sad about how the Sri Lankan education system which ruins the future of most talented young people by letting them rot for years ruining their most productive youth. 4-5 years wasted in undergrad and then even before that 2.5 years wasted for ALs and doing a nonsensical Grade 13 and so on. By the time a typical Sri lankan student gets his or her engineering degree (assuming getting through AL in the first attempt) he or she will be at least 24-25 years old.... Now when we compare that to other developed countries, it is a tragedy where students earn their degrees by 21 or 22 or sometimes even 19. It is a real tragedy and I am speaking as someone who experienced this tragedy. Our parents were not rich to send us abroad to study but I honestly feel if we had a chance to use the prime of our lifetime in a country which really encourages young students without letting them rot of their talents, we could have accomplished way more.
