Great vid. My pivot holder screws had red locktite. Had to drill them out. Started with a 3/16 pilot hole around 1/8 deep then used a 1/4 to shear the head of the screw.
Laying this stuff on the boat isn't hurting a thing. You do more damage to your carpet jumping in and out of the boat at the boat ramp with gravel and dirt in your shoes. It's not the Mona Lisa it will be fine hahaha.
It's an LED light from RIGID. They work really good at night if you launch before the sun comes up. Got this one for a good deal so couldn't pass it up.
Great video, I saw your post on instagram and I have this same problem and didn’t realize it. I was also on ruff water and my motor deployed, luckily it didn’t fully drop and came back on the deck Where can I buy this replacement bushings?
Well glad I could help point you in the right direction for the issue. Mine is back to nice and smooth again. I got my bushings from a local repair shop. Otherwise when I googled them there were a lot of stores that came up even amazon and ebay.
Appreciate the insight. Just knocked this out on my ULTREX. You’re the man!
Job well done. A little reel magic helps keep bushing from sqeaking.
Thanks. Mine were squeaking because they were busted. Reel magic won't help that.

I’d lay a towel on boat but good video!
You are killing me laying that stuff on your boat like that. I would have a stoke if that was my boat lol!

@@InfiniteBassin Stepping in dog shit doesn't hurt a thing either but I avoid it anyway.
@kurtcarter761 either way it's not your boat so you don't have to worry about it .
Thanks Josh! Great how to video!🤙
You're welcome glad you enjoyed it
What's up brother. What Dobyns rod do you use for topwater walking baits?
I actually use the Colt 734 for my walking baits.
not sure why you take the pivot pin out. Once you slide the assembly out you can put new bushings in from the outside.
What is that light under the front of the motor mount?
It's an LED light from RIGID. They work really good at night if you launch before the sun comes up. Got this one for a good deal so couldn't pass it up.
I saw someone else that replaced everything. Is there any reason to change all the components instead of just the plastic bushings?
I would say no. If there is no worn or broken pieces I'd leave them.

Just did the repair, why did you need to remove the 1/2” pin?
