Hi Adam, charge time is between 3-5 hours depending on the state of the battery. When you first receive the product, I would recommend leaving it on charge overnight. I would do this with any product that has a lithium battery. Lithium batteries should always carry a charge and leaving them uncharged will put them into "sleep" mode. To get them out of this mode is near impossible unless you have specialised equipment. So, charging the battery every 3 months is a good idea. If I use the battery on a trip, I plug it into the USB port on my bike or will charge it at the motel in the evening. At the end of the trip, I will put the pump, GoPro's etc all on charge overnight.
