You can tell that in 2007 was when Nick's voice started changing but I was just shocked when I heard how much his voice changed in 2007 because in the one they showed before that where Nick was singing with his brother Joe I Am What I Am (I think that's what its called) sounded way different and in much higher
Actually, it really started changing due to puberty as early as about 2006. In (I think) the last song of that album 'Please be mine' (the 2006 studio version), his voice had changed a lot and started to resemble 2007-2008 Nick's voice

Actually Joe can play the guitar and the piano. He just prefer to be the frontman of the band. If you watch some old vids you can see him play the guitar as well. :)
