These days especially food products got very expensive in my country. Oatmeals are one of these. It is very useful explaination to eat cheaper. Thank you very much!
Simply amazing! Your channel is truly a hidden gem and I really hope this channel grows fast because you deserve it with all of your hard work making these beautiful and informative videos. I just discovered your videos yesterday and have been binge watching ever since! Thank you for teaching us how to make our own healthy natural foods at home. I'm now subscribed😁❤
Number one thank you so much for the relaxing music with your video. Number two Thank you so much for the very helpful video. I just realized I have a pasta roller and have had one for years I didn't realize I could use it to make rolled oats! I came across your video by accident Thank you again so very much for this.
Thank you for blogging about using your pasta machine to roll your oats! I was just wondering if this was possible and did a quick search to see if anyone else had. :) what a wonderful surprise that I already have a tool in my cupboard!
I always sprout my own oat groats, then cook them and eat them whole, but sometimes I need rolled oats for recipes. This is so ingenious! Thank you so much for showing me how!
I know, I did the same thing. Good roller machines are very expensive. I tried a few ideas before I figured out this method. I'm so happy with the result!
Few years ago, I have bought a Kenwood pasta attachment which I haven't used it yet. I will use it for wheat grains before milling on my small size natural granite stone by hand for weekly bread flour. I should buy the medium size stone grain mill which is for hard grains.
Yay! Thank you So much for this video! I have been trying to learn how to roll my own oats for over a week! I attempted to add some to berry cobbler before seeing your video & it came out terrible -- like bird seed. 😅 My family won't eat it. The texture makes me want to gag. 😆 But my beautiful son bought be the same exact pasta maker that you have for my birthday last year & I am SOOO excited that I can use it to roll oats. Thank God! No more bird seed cake. Hehe!
You are kidding me !!! 😱😳😱 that is theeee most amazing SIMPLE thing ever. I had NO idea that it was this simple... I feel so dumb... T HANK UOU FOR SHARING THIS 💞🤗💞👍
Thank you for the video. I was thinking of making flakes from barley and wondered if I could use my pasta machine since money is tight this year and a new gadget is not in the budget.
Lovely informative video! Oat rolling or flaking machines are so expensive and often unavailable. I have a question, does this harm the pasta maker, and is it difficult to clean the oats from the pasta maker afterwards? Thank you!
Awesome! Can you tell me if this method will work with whole grains? And if I want to use other types of whole grains (wheat, barley, oat, spelt, etc) do they have different soaking times or will this method work the same for all of those?
Is there a way to make quick oats with the rolled oats? I've been wanting to try... maybe they need to be put in the food processor for a few quick pulses?

You are very welcome, and thank you for the kind words. This pasta roller I used is very basic, and I did not do anything to adapt it for this except set it on the narrowest setting. Brilliant idea!!! I have the rolling machine but i never thought about the importance of sprouting the oats!!! I also have the dehydrator and can i ask you for how long you dehydrate oats? 💖 thanks a lot 💖
Yes it does, absolutely. I have been dong sprouted barley flakes using the same method, but I have not tried spelt yet. I'll be curious to hear how it goes!
Very good method, indeed. I have a question about your jar lid (White plastic). Where did you buy it? My canning jar lids are rusting very fast. Thanks for sharing, regards from Canada.
Very good video, thank you so much. I followed your instruction and rolled the oats. But after i rolled them they stick to each other and I couldn't separate them and dry them like you did. Did I miss something?
You are very welcome, and I'm glad you appreciate the technique! I have not experimented with keeping them for more than a week yet, and they have not had any problem going rancid during that period of time.
Yusra Louhi I’m sure if dehydrated they wouldent go bad. Of course storage would need to be dry as well lol no moisture, any moister can cause bacteria to grow and spoil the oats
Wonderful video. I don’t have a pasta roller. Can please you tell me the name and brand of the one in the video and a link to buy? If you have it. Thank you in advance. :-)
Rolled oats are rolled with steam! They come pre cooked! Still incredibly creative and wonderful video! Have already suscribed. The camembert is awesome ;)
I have done steaming the oats as well, and it turned out very good. However, I try to cut down any extra steps to keep it more simple to do when I'm too busy and this works really well. Thank you for the compliment on the camembert!
I was excited to see this as want to use the oats from our farm. I was saddened to hear that the actual process is monopolised by one company. I then realised you were using naked oats. Remember everyone that raw oats still in their hulls will get mixed up with the flakes. It's this separating process that is apparently so hard with oats taking an extra 5 machines in the process after the dehuller. Gutted as i wanted to supply to my local community and shop
$5.20 for Quaker Rolled Oats and $1.93 for these. This is, undoubtedly one of the best videos I've ever watched.
Thank you very much for the kind words!!

whare do you cet that screen you put inside the lid ring?
