    Awesome, Daniel….. definitely a wonderful and decorative air tool. No question about it and an excellent review we have both Big and media we believe sitting in a box that have been there for about a month or two. Well maybe it’s been longer. It’s been kind of busy ha ha ha but we are going to try to get around to doing a video on them next weekend, in addition to be my 50th birthday this weekend it was also our Thanksgiving here in the states so it was four days of partying lol however now it’s time to knuckle down and get back to work. We are very excited to open his up in Mess round with them. We hope you had a great weekend, sir and we can’t to wait to see where you end up putting this guy.

      I know what you mean mate, been wild busy myself. I had other videos to finish off before this one but I was so excited to try it I couldn't resist myself haha..

    Nice review! Wow, that's a very short sunlight period 😶. I like the wide dispersement of the bubbles-- good too know that you tighten it more to get more bubbles, I would've guessed the opposite. Coming with the airline and check valve makes the price a bit better, too. Btw, Santa is watching *all* *year* !😋 Hope you're having a nice Sunday!

    • @DanielKeepingFish
      @DanielKeepingFish  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Haha...May have been exaggerating a wee bit on the amount of sun we don't get here. A wee bit. 😂
      I think it's a fair price to be honest. They're great and well built too. Plus as you say with the extras included...

  • @ejbrinegar

    Dear Daniel:
    £23.99 = $29.01
    This is a lovely item, but it isn't for me. Bubbles are unnecessary, when a filter provides sufficient, surface agitation. I like my aquaria to look as natural as possible. Even if I could hide the air diffuser and the air line, a constant flow of bubbles rising, through the water column isn’t something one would see, in nature.
    Thank you for sharing your interesting and informative demonstration, of this, fine product.
    All my best,
    Sincerely,
    E. J. Brinegar

    • @DanielKeepingFish
      @DanielKeepingFish  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah I get it mate, it'll not be for everyone. For someone like me though I think it's great. I use the internal filter that comes as standard in my Juwel Rio but also need to run an air stone for surface agitation. This is going to be much much better than what I'm currently running.
      Hope you had a nice weekend bud and have a fine week to come.

  • @fishingfreckles

    does it matter which way the check valve goes? like an intake and a out end?

  • @Boss-zo4lw
    @Boss-zo4lw ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Problem with me is that if i want to add bubbles i may as well put a sponge filter in there

    • @DanielKeepingFish
      @DanielKeepingFish  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah it's not for everyone mate but some people appreciate decorative air items and some just run air for surface agitation like myself on my Juwel Rio. The built in filter is all need but I don't like to point the return upwards so I run an air stone in there. 👍

  • @bigmoncrief6071
    @bigmoncrief6071 ปีที่แล้ว

    Thanks for the review but my aqua one air disc cost a fiver (£10 less than the hygger) and from what I can see it knocks out way more bubbles. Only downside is it's bright orange so I have to bury it in the substrate.

    Hi Daniel. My tank is 3 foot, so what size is best mate? Am I ok to use an Eheim 400 pump to power the disc?
    Btw, are there any discs which have LED lights built in you can recommend???

    • @DanielKeepingFish
      @DanielKeepingFish  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Think I'd be going for the medium size one on a tank like that mate and yeah the Eheim should be fine I imagine.
      Can't say I've ever used one with LEDs built in to suggest one I'm afraid but a nice idea for sure.
      Do you watch Jack and Dan's channel. They come up with pretty neat lighting ideas for their tanks. Bet a few of their builds would interest you. Here's their link:

    Morning mate. I bought Medium sized Hygger double - sponge filters ×2. The filters are sold with bio ceramic media balls. Can't seem to find anymore of them online? Can you recommend a supplier?

    • @DanielKeepingFish
      @DanielKeepingFish  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I remember having difficulty getting the smaller ones myself. Know what I did? Went into the local fish shop and bought the refill pouches of biomedia they sell for the Fluval Flex tanks. Can probably order them pretty cheap online buy I try to buy from local shops when I can and worked a charm.

    Having a hard time deciding which size to get. I want to run two of them in my Rio 450. Should I go with 45mm or 60? Kinda want to let it look a bit settle. Would love to hear your opinion

    • @DanielKeepingFish
      @DanielKeepingFish  ปีที่แล้ว

      Between the 45 and the 60 I'd be going for the 60. I have put my 80mm in my Juwel 450 and it's not ott by any means. Two of the 60s would look pretty sweet I reckon.

  • @HypnoticMilotic

    Hello! Just curious - can you rotate the air line connection? I have an air line system I’ve constructed that is parallel to the bottom of my tank and buried in the substrate. I’m thinking of ordering one of these but can’t quite tell if I’d be stuck with the positioning of the connection out of the box. 🧐
