    The Beatles gave us so much more then music. They gave us love. Every Paul McCartney show I've been to was the best night of my life. I have happy tears watching Paul at 80.

      Giuseppe: I am glad you love the Beatles. I saw the Beatles at Shea Stadium when I was 20 years old and I have loved them ever since. I took my son to see Paul when my son was 14 in 1989. I told my son then that this is as close to a Beatles concert that you will ever get. It was just as true Thursday night. I am glad that you will be one of many to keep the Beatles spirit alive for the coming decades.

    I went to this concert. Section 224A. ‘Twas my first time ever seeing Paul live. I literally haven’t stopped thinking about the concert for days. I’m tearing up right now just thinking about it, honestly. It was EASILY the best concert I have ever been to. Nothing can compare. I feel like sometimes when I go to see ridiculously famous artists in concert, especially when they’re on the older side, I’m seeing them just to have seen them. It’s not that I don’t enjoy the concert, but I sometimes feel like going to the concert takes precedence over experiencing the concert. Heading to Metlife on Thursday, my mindset was of this nature. I was going to see Paul McCartney, I was gonna have a good time, and then I would be able to say that I’d seen Paul McCartney.
    Nothing could have prepared me for what I was about to experience. Paul is a genius, not just as a musician but as a performer. He knew exactly what stories to tell, what songs to sing, and just how to masterfully control the concert. It was magical. There were bits where I just started laughing out of sheer joy. I kept yelling “WHAT” and “NO WAY” because it was so exciting. And then, after the show technically ended with “Hey Jude,” I was thinking that there was no way he could top what he just did. Then the encore happened. It completely blew me away. Paul’s duet with John’s voice was beautiful. Then Bon Jovi just showed up?? Helter Skelter was great fun. And then the end of the Abbey Road medley? Ethereal. Watching Paul McCartney and Bruce Springsteen just jam to “the End” was an otherworldly experience. I just kept saying “oh my god!” and “what is happening???”
    Near the beginning of the show, Paul called out a guy who had seen him in concert hundreds of times. I laughed, thinking he was a bit silly. But now? I completely understand why someone would see Paul again and again and again. Next time you’re near New York, Paul, I’ll be there. Hell, next time you’re on the East Coast. In the United States. Whatever.
    Sir Paul McCartney is a legend. And he puts on a very, very good show.

    • @bobbynoe1
      @bobbynoe1 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I can easily understand what you meant in your first paragraph. I'm so happy to have seen Frank Zappa, The Police, Ten Years After, Thin Lizzy, Paul McCartney, The Rolling Stones, The Who, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Wishbone Ash, though some of them not in their prime or not in the original line-up, but for me it was important to see those legends live ... Townsend, Daltrey, Alvin Lee, Phil Lynott, B.B. King ... and the more I regret that I never saw Grateful Dead or The Allman Brothers Band. I strongly recommend going to concerts of those legends that are still alive enough to perform onstage. BTW: Next one is Bruce Springsteen. And hopefully some day Van Morrison ...

    I was there with my HS friend Michelle (who was named after the 1965 Beatles song of the same name). This was a bucket list event for both of us - extremely fortunate and grateful to have been a part of his milestone birthday concert. Paul's fan crowd spanned from tiny to very grey, and everyone was having the time of their lives - so extremely cool to watch! If only I had a tiny fraction of his energy at 80! Truly a legend, and despite what some may say about an aging voice, he has no plans to retire and I really hope to be apart of his next tour. Happy Birthday Paul!🎶🎉🎂😊

    Awesome...I was listening that day to a 'top 80' of Macca due to his birthday on the radio whilst on a roadtrip....so amazing how many great songs he's got up his sleave, let alone to realise he played live that very day....
    Such an extensive playlist, performing must keep him young 😉 what a lad!

    Love, love, love that he has live horns! Sure hate he skipped Atlanta this time. :-( And "thank you" to whomever videoed and shared this! Like I said, he didn't come to my town this time so I'm happy to see some of the concert from this most current tour!!

      I live an hour north of Atlanta and I took the 3 hour drive to Knoxville. I’ve never seen Paul and this could be his last tour so it was a no brainer. I posted some Knoxville clips if you want to see them

    The master is weak but anyone of us would be lucky to do what he's doing at 80 years of age, I'd go to watch him pass wind, seen him several times in my life, his songs are in my soul, love him. 🎸🎤🥁🎹🎷🎺 Happy birthday Paul

    On "I Got a Feeling" near the close of the show, he sounded and looked much like the Paul of those days.......but much of the show reminded me of Frank Sinatra tours our parents would have gone to in the 1990s...... 30 or so years ago...we are now THEM

    Say him in LA with my daughter who's now 31. Love Paul Beatles and Wings. But biggest thrill is my daughter probably loves him more
    Thank you Paul for all of your great music. Show was good. Really good!

    His Voice is shot. And he still does concerts. He is a true musician. There is a 6 and a 9 year old that just recently discovered Beatles Music and they love the older songs. The 6 year old says that she wants to see them live in concert

      I don’t think his voice is shot. It certainly isn’t what it used to be, but it still sounds pretty good.
