This was a trip down memory lane and If I didn't know any better, I would say that this cottage was my grandma's house. Built on the edge of a country road where I learned to ride my bike. I still remember the fire roaring and the all cottage would become warm and cozy. The shed was always full with fire wood that grandpa use to chop.
She had a beautiful garden in the back of the house and I remember helping grandma picking vegetable for our daily meals. In the summer, I used to take my snack and eat it when I was soaking my feet in the stream water running through the grounds, always with in the hope to find the frog that kept me awake the night before. I found lot's of them but I never figure it out which one it was.
We lived in the city and for some reason my grandparents didn't felt comfortable coming to the city so, the majority of the times we end it up at their house. Another reason was, that every time we went there my parents would have come home with bags full of fresh vegetable. For 12 years, I spent the 3 months of my summer school breaks there and during the Holidays all the families would get together at Grandma and grandpa's house. Christmas was magical. The lights on the Christmas tree were small real candles and the decorations consisted of candy, fruit and whole nuts that us kids had painted gold or silver.
Today, watching your video, I feel that as a child I had the best of both worlds and I regret the fact that my children couldn't have had the same opportunity as I did. If I was where you are, I would buy that cottage in an instant so my grandchildren would have an experience that would last a life time. As I said, this was a real trip down memory lane.. Oh my this is absolutely beautiful. It'll be gone real fast. Lots of land.. can anything be grown on the land, like fruit trees, pears, apples etc..this is really a lovey property.

Oh wow, what a beauty! I love the woodland setting, it's perfect for this little house. All snug and cozy. You're a brave soul walking through the woods. I would be afraid of snakes myself. But oh the house and yard. What more could a single person want.

Just found this video and I LOVE the cottage!!! The river you were in looks more like a stream which is what I’d rather have. Less chance of flooding, lol, and I’ve always wanted a little house with a stream. I can’t believe the price!!

I've only visited, staying a few months. It is soo very different there, lovely scenery & the people are extremely nice, respectful & super hospitable. (My Dad was born there & I have made friends over the years that came here to the states to work during summers on student visas.) The last time I left, though, I had the worst anxiety, almost panic-attack like, that I was very close to staying. If I wouldn't of had travel mates with me, and been alone, I would've stayed. But they coaxed me onto the plane, and the rest is history. :(

The house is really cute. I love the way of coming into the front door and you are in the house, not in a hallway. The kitchen and livingroom are nice but the bedrooms are very tight. The garden is nice you could sit and listen to the birds. It's a little remote for me as I live by myself. If you are looking for land to go with your home this is it.

Sweet cottage. The front roof is fine, the back roof needs replacing soon. Do they not have pump out service for septic tanks in France? We don't replace the tanks unless they are degraded. Just pump out and flush beneficial microbes monthly to breakdown the solid waste. With that much land you could build composting beds for composting toilet and use the compost for fruit trees.
Thanks for watching, yes we do have a pump out service!!! Other wise they would just all be over flowing. A change in the la in 2011 means that a number of fosses need replacing as they do not conform to the new standards. Have a lovely day 😀
Turned up in my TH-cam feed and I was like, "what a cute little cottage!" Then I read it's in Brittany and thought "oh, I wouldn't even have to move to another country!" I'm from Southern France... But not planning to move to Brittany anytime soon. And woodland wouldn't be too practical for keeping my horse. But it's really beautiful.
