It is SO hard to find playable bass covers of gospel and worship songs, when you are a beginner. THANK you for this, I’m learning this as my first worship song. I was wondering if you might be including the bass clef notes as well as the tab, to help us new bassists progress as musicians, any time soon. If not, I understand. Gave you a like and a subcribe
I want to apologize…I found some staff lines, and penciled in the correct notes myself! It’s on me to learn the notes, not anyone else. Thank you again.
No need to apologize! I would love to include the notes, but the majority of bassists use tabs. The time to add notes to the videos would decrease my video output. One solution would be to download the tab, and then use MuseScore to convert the tab to notes. There are some tutorials for that process online.
Great job! I like the pick, gives it a very punky sound and helps w the quicker up strokes. Let’s blow the lid of worship! Make our ceilings of yesterday our floors of tomorrow. 🧡
This explains it! You’re right, it’s not all 16th notes like I’ve been trying to play it and I just couldn’t get it to sound like the song. Made me question my ability to really play 16th notes which bugged the crap out of me. Turns out It’s actually mostly 8th notes with some regular 16th notes sprinkled in. Thanks.
WOW, I really like the way you play that. We've played this song in worship service hundreds of times, but I've never thought to play it like that! I don't use a pic so I'll try the eighth notes finger picking for now, but I'm definitely going to start practicing more with a pic and see what I can do! Thanks for the great video!
Played this song so many times on bass live. Love your version. I tried 8th notes and then 16th notes were quite hard to do finger picking. So I stuck with 8th. Gotta grab a pick next time lol
this is cool !! i originally play guitar but i switched to bass just for fun and it is !! although my fingers would always be full of blisters and stuff cus the bass is big, heavy and i have to adjust since i am left handed (i can't use left handed guitars or anything so i play the opposite way) i am now trying to learn bass properly because my godfather is a drummer so we're like partners, i can't most of the time since i am very busy in school, i want to keep my with honors and all 91+ grades
How do you know for sure what the bass is playing on the recording? Listen real closely? Or were you able to isolate the bass line? Just curious. Thanks.
Thanks for the feedback! In this case, this is how the original bass line is played in the recording. I typically try to play the bass parts 1:1 as the original, however depending on the setting I’m sure finger style would sound great too!
This is Amazing Bass
😂
Perfection of explanation. Enough said!!!
This is a big help. Will be playing this on Sunday. Thank you very much 😊
Glad to hear that! You’re welcome!
Great cover. Be blessed abundantly, Reinhard

Oh my gosh! That is SO helpful, what you said here…I’m ON it! Thank you!💐
Thanks for this! Great job on it, really helped me learn it better🙏😊

Closest I've seen to the actual track. It's not just straight 16ths like most people are trying to play.
😂

To add, those 16th notes are mostly played in rhythm with the drummer when he is doing his fills during the verses. Good stuff.
Great song to practice all the slides that are so popular in CCM! Love your bass tone
Hello, you play very well, every time I listen to this cover it transmits a lot to me God bless you
I love it,i thought it will be a tough one but you make looks so easy...time to learn than you so much.God bless
Really great bass tutorial!! We play this a lot at our church and this is very helpful! Thanks!

We hope to play this during worship soon! Thanks so much, I need to practice!

Appreciate your bass covers!

De gran ayuda... Gracias bendiciones
Thank you for coverings
You’re welcome!
Good job! Also is this in standard tuning? Sorry I’m a beginner. Actually I started yesterday.😊
Yes it is standard tuning, this is in the key of Bb.
How to get that sound on bass or what amp settings?
What is the tuning? I have a request. Can you do David Crowder Band - Oh Praise Him bass tab please and thank you
Wow can I please have the PDF with the chords
There is a link in the video description for the tab. Not the chords though, but you can find that online :)
Kul now I hav a song to pley
I changed the constant 8th notes to something else but other than that this is great
Nice
Thank you!
What key is that
This is in Bb
Doesn't the original bassist play 16th notes on the verses?
Maybe live? In this video, I played the same bass line as in the recording.
How do you know for sure what the bass is playing on the recording? Listen real closely? Or were you able to isolate the bass line? Just curious. Thanks.
It sounds good. But I think the pick is too much. Bass picks are very song specific and I think this would sound better with your fingers
