If we can't have canon SuperCorp in S6, I hope we'll at least get more of this: Lena pining (keep the faith, grrl: canon WILL come, eventually! SuperCorp is EndGame!)
Lena realized far far too late that Kara was the only person in her life that put her first. Everyone else that betrayed Lena did so for their own gain, but not Kara. Kara did lie and did hurt Lena, we can't deny that. But unlike everyone else, Kara did it to protect Lena, to try not to hurt her. Lena realized this but by the time she did, the damage was done. Lena went to great lengths to push Kara away and as close as they got in season 6, it was never the same. I truly believe that even in cannon, Lena understood that she destroyed the most pure bond she ever had. Neither of them could ever truly forget the image of Kara trapped in kryptonite.
Probably she was afraid that Kara will release her hand with force from Lena's hand, because of the negative events (the events that start in fotress of solitude when Lena revealed that she already know that Kara is Supergirl way before that Kara tell her, and Lena start to portrait herself as an enemy to Kara even if she still was the hero and care about Kara) between them.
