Your step-by-step instructions are the best I've found. I have all of the materials but haven't been able to find anyone who could make it idiot-proof for me. I finally understand how to pull the buttons through and get the diamond-shaped tuft I want. Thank you!
Hands down the BeST diy video & Results. I've seen yet!!! Been researching Tufted headboards for a lil over a year. Very practical, and straight to the point. Kudos, Keep em coming!!!
This is about the 10th video I've watched to see how to do this. You do some of the same things a friend of mine does when re upholstering automobiles. I just wasn't sure of a good way to secure the buttons on the back. I plan on doing a floating headboard. I've got all those tools laying around the house somewhere, the grandsons keep taking off with things. I was originally thinking nail gun and just gluing on jems. With this video I feel more confident trying it. Thanks so much!!!
Thank you KC, this is exactly what I was looking for, a tutorial on how to make headboards with no used of very expensive tools. This tutorial is very easy to follow because you do explain it step by step.
Amazing Tutorial, Amazing Diy. I've been searching for a the Perfect quilted headboard for my Guest Bedroom for months now. Decided to make it myself and couldn't find a relatable and informative Tutorial. Most require expensive materials and really difficult Steps. finally found one that is budget friendly and with simple instructions!!! Thanks
out of all tutorials I've watched...this is the best one!...very well explained directions, and I was able to follow from start to finish and you have the most professional looking results...great job!
Great respect for your work!! Reupholstered when I was young and now want to do tufted ottoman reupholster!! You give me the courage to tackle the job now that I am retired!! Thanks!!
Thank you for this DIY. I have wanted to purchase a tufted headboard and just thought to make one of my own. Your instructions are really detailed and the product is beautiful. This was the best DIY headboard of this style I've seen yet!! Thanks again!!
Nice Job KC! I wasn't comfortable about scoring the foam until I saw your final product which looks to be neat & tidy as well as precise and down right dramatic. Other tutorials do not score the foam but rather show a lot of placing, tucking and tightening instead. I also really like the printed burlap on back. Yeah, maybe no one will probably ever see it but what a great looking surprise if they do.
I absolutely love the gathering and pulling on the fabric, towards the diamonds. There have been so many tutorials for tufted items, and I haven't been able to find one that looks like this.
I spoke too soon, I think the first part looked easy - I have those same trash can to set wood on!! - yet then see your much more precise than I wanted to go - yet your headboard looks amazing and I learned new tips!
This is absolutely GORGEOUS!!! I've watched many DIY headboard tutorials & your way seems so much easier & not to mention, one of the prettiest I've seen!!! I'm so inspired to make my own now! Awesome tutorial! Thanks so much!
Kelly Sevy I would first make sure what kind of King bed you have? Is it a regular King size or California King? You can easily then Google for the measurements. ie:a Queens iced bed is usually 60"w x80"l. I would then give and extra two inches on each side and then whatever height you desire from the top of your mattress (that will depend on the height of your particular bed.)
Hey brother! that is awesome! for real, i have been really looking for step by step beginner's tutorials on upholstery. i have seen a number of videos BUT man, yours are tops! You are the man! KEEP IT UP.....Thanks once again
I have watched a few of these videos and the finished product is either a little too simple looking- just slightly lacking that luxurious quality- or so professional it's not possible for the regular person. Those slits you put in the top layer of foam put your project into that luxurious category. And you made vinyl look like leather with your thoughtfulness. Great job!
Thank you! I was looking for a video like this, after seeing so many i am certain this is the best tutorial on how to make a beautiful headboard fully explained.
Impressive. Nice job with your tutorial. Happy to see your sweet face in the second segment. You described in wonderful detail how to make this beautiful headboard. You really made it come to life. I think I can tackle this project now, thanks to you! God Bless.
Great job!! The cutting of the diamond slits seems like a great pointer. I will be using this technique in my diy...thanks!! Awesome vid very informative.
This is amazing! The best diy video on tufting I have found. I'm going to do this to an ottoman I have. I hope it comes out as greats as your headboard did!
I’ve looked at a lot of diy headboard videos and this is by far the Best video and description EVERRRRRRR thank you and all the best in your future endeavors
Hello Seven. Thank you for your video. Excellent. One of the best in you tube. Good detail information. I only wished you had shown the foam when it was all cut. Nonetheless I have learnt a lot and will give it a try myself. If you were here in Sweden I would order 3 from you. Have a good day and thanks again. Best regards Gisela
This is beautiful! GREAT JOB!!! Thanks for sharing! I will try this. I have a headboard in pink like this, but I want to make another one myself. I like the idea of the vinyl because it doesn't get as dirty as a faux suede. Thanks again!
Christina Pozolera It turned out great, I made a video on my channel is you want to see how mine came out. The video is not as informative as his but it came out great and I love it!
Very nice. I'm so glad I stumbled on your channel. I've been wanting to diy a tufted headboard (in red) for a while. With your detailed video, I believe I can do it. Thanks...
I love your video, is very informative. lol I used a really thin thread cause I bought a wrong one for my first headboard, but it held really good after I hammered the staple to pinch the thread, cause it would not hold the thin thread and it'll just slide right out. It worked beautifully. :)
This video deserves more recognition thank you for being very detailed!
That was ridiculously neat. Attention to details was absolutely phenomenal. Good job......love it.
My husband and I loved your video; we looked at a lot of videos! Best one! Clear directions and great demonstration. THANK YOU!
