CROCODILE NIGHT SCUBA DIVING | Crazy things to do in Tulum, Mexico

- Scuba diving in Mexico is an endless adventure. In this Tulum travel vlog I join my from Jordan from Drenched, and Sarah from Girls that Scuba, and night dive a cenote in search for crocodiles. Definitely one of the craziest things to do in Tulum, Quintana Roo!
If you are scuba diving in Tulum, Playa del Carmen, Cancun, Isla Mujeres, Cozumel or anywhere else in Rivera Maya, you'll be surprised by the diversity you can find on this coast. The reef diving is quite nice, especially in Cozumel, but in my opinion, the highlight is the many cenotes the dot the Yucatan Peninsula.
The freshwater sink holes have long been rumoured by the Mayan people to be the gateway to the Underworld. I'm not sure if that's true, but I know they are the gateway to phenomenal diving. KOOX diving offers an interesting tour if you're not faint of heart. Night scuba diving with crocodiles. How's that for wild things to do in Tulum!
The trick is that crocodiles, and other animals that can see at night, have reflective eyes. If you shine a flashlight in the dark, they reflect back some of that light towards you. This allows you to spot them immediately, where as in the day, they would remain heavily camouflaged. Hope you enjoy this travel vlog of scuba diving in Mexico!

Appreciate the good intentions. However, the “stick insect” was actually an aquatic invertebrate known as a water scorpion. He likely dropped right back into the water and swam away when you left. Love your lifestyle and the content you produce while living it!

OMG, this is truly fearless and far! I was able to hold a baby crocodile (w/safety gears) a crocodile 🐊 farm in Palawan, 🇵🇭 but diving and swimming with them is tachycardia.
Hope you get back to the Philippines soon but nice vid.

This is AMAZING, Mike! I've been looking forward to this vlog ever since you teased it in your Instagram stories a while ago. Is it crazy that I kinda want to do this? Cenote diving has always been a dream of mine and the idea of doing it at night, among the mangroves, with an awesome group of people and some pretty docile crocodiles is blowing my mind. I mean, it definitely seems tense (and maybe that's because of the tension you built leading up to the debut of the crocodiles), but once you actually found them, it looked like such a fun, unique, and fascinating experience. I've held a young crocodile before and I've always been surprised by how docile they are. Incredible stuff, Mike! Definitely one of your coolest adventures, and that's saying a lot! 🐉

I have snorkeled with black tips and bull sharks kayak with alligators but I'm not swimming with Crocs at night I didn't see any footage a big mama Croc which means you didn't see her I guarantee she was watching you Apex Ambush predator that feeds at night just a little too hair ball for me you got away with it but I don't think it was a good idea Mike not worth the risk
