Being an interior designer is at the top of my goals that one day I can claim. Although i’m really bad at drawing huhu
just go for it!! you'll develop drawing skills along the way, as long as you have the will and perseverance 🤍 I'm rooting for you!!

as an Architecture student, your drafting aren't that bad. it's pretty decent as long as it is presentable, accurate and in proportion at least ☺️

Graduating batch from cfad-id here, it must be really hard ngayong remote learning. You're doing great despite that tho! Just have fun with these exploration plates, these would be your foundational skills in building up your portfolio. Keep your best plates and kapit lang! Try to maintain low stress levels - your sleep hygiene too, trust me when I say your future self would love you for it!

hi! im about to take this course for this upcoming sy. i have no background in drawing and im doubting myself in pursuing this course. what topics or techniques should i self learn to improve myself before the sy starts. i will rlly appreciate your advice, thank you!
stick with basic drawing techniques (focus on drawing rooms, furniture, fixtures, etc.), learn to work with markers and watercolor kasi yan mga gagamitin mo for manual rendering. be familiar din with color theory kasi you'll be using that a lot. I will film a video soon talking about this matter so stay tuned din!

take your time deciding! college is no joke. but if you do decide to pursue ID, practice practice practice! never get tired of practicing and improving yourself!

hello pede pa help😭 gusto ko kasi mag archi & interior designer, okay lang ba if mag arts & design track ako sa G11 then STEM for archi sa G12? or STEM muna?😭😭
Hi, di mo nman kailangan magpaiba ibang track kapag ang dream course mo tlga is arki/interior designing. Accually I’m a Grade 11 Stem student and ang gusto ko sa college is Interior Designer/Fashion designer, pero it’s up to you po if di ka tlga masaya sa Stem nung grade 11 pwede ka nman lumipat ng AD track sa grade 12 pero kailangan mo pang aralin yung mga pinagaralan nila nung grade 11 para makasabay ka sa topic na pinaguusapan nila, so kailangan mo pa tlga magadjust
Pero mas prefer ko po na wag ka na lumipat ng ibang strand sa grade 12 kasi sayang rin yung natutunan mo dun sa pinili mong strand. Di naman magbabase yung college school sa kung ano yung napasukan mo strand nung senior high as long as you have the interest within that course. Follow your heart ❤️

@@heiyaaa09 dapat tlga kukuha ako ng AD track sa ust kaso nalate ako sa pagpasa ng requirements so nagtsaga ako magkahanap ng AD track in my place but all of them are malalayo, so nagstick ako into my next option which is yung STEM. Nakakastress ren maghanap ng panibagong school lalo na’t parang priority ng ibang mga school is yung mga acad tracks than yung other tracks hehe
@@larajimakeup ah okay po, true mostly puro acad strands kaya buti nalang nga meron dito sa aminnn huhu go na ako sa AD bahala na si batman HAHAHA btw thank uuuu po sa response!! it helps me a lot po!!

Siguro as an individual who doesn't know how to draw or use coloring materials, if ever I got 80 on a plate I would still rejoice
of course naman! to each their own ♡ for me i only react that way kasi i know i reaaally could've done better (not in a sense na minamaliit ko ang grade na 80)

any recommendations on what to practice years before college? hihi
engineering lettering, drafting techniques, manual rendering, creating design concepts, basic drawing techniques 😊 you can start exploring digital stuff like AutoCAD as well if you feel up to it though 2nd year niyo pa gagamitin yun. I'll film a video answering questions like this soon so stick around! ♡

Can I ask, what are the materials you bought or need in first year?
graphite pencils, sketchpads (size may depend on preference of prof), watercolor, markers, tech pens, triangles, t-square, tracing paper

Ate, during your entrance test in ust did they asked you to draw? If yes, what are those items? Any tips on what items should I bring during the entrance exam? Thank you
yes may drawing exam!! expect to be asked to draw some type of furniture and a view of a room/portion of a room. also, you might need to explain your design. for materials, pencil, eraser, and ruler will do!
@@staceyisais Bukod po sa drawing ano pa po yung type of test? Like is the questions already related to interior design or is it more of a test of your knowledge during shs(gen math, oral communication, etc.)?

no wala pa questions related to interior design. more on general knowledge lang (mental ability, english, math, science, space relations)

yes you still can! drawing is just a small part of interior design. but you’ll still definitely have to put in the effort to learn. kasi kahit maliit na part lang siya, important parin
Matagal kong pinangarap maging interior designer kaya akala ko nasa course na ng archi ung interior design kaso hindi ko kinaya planuhin hanggang labas ng bahay :'> ang alam ko may sariling course talaga ang interior deisgner kaso malayo at mahal :'< kaya naging miserable na college life ko :'> kung ano na lng mapasukan :'>

hello, from what i heard galing sa previous applicants meron daw drawing test!! tapos the rest idadaan na sa USTAR. search ka about USTAR, hindi na kasi ako masyado familiar doon since hindi ko na yun naabutan.
hiii! may i ask what laptop you use as an ID student po? also required po ba talaga ang laptop? thank you so much po!
i’m using macbook pero i don’t recommend it at all. better to buy a gaming laptop. and yes required talaga yan esp pagdating mo ng 2nd year because you’ll be doing your plans digitally.

Hi may math po ba? i took arts and design in shs and wala kaming masyadong math so i want to mentally prepare myself kung meron hehehe, i'll take interior design instead of arki. You're plates are so beautiful btw.
merong math kasi part parin siya ng gen ed subjects. don't worry though, basic math lang naman aaralin, nothing too complicated! 😊

What's the best po na gamitin ?marker o pencil color po?
depends on what kind of performance you're looking for
if you want something that can help you render quickly then go for markers
if you are more precise and detail-oriented, go for color pencil
How is the thesis in ID for 5th year? Indi or group?
as far as I'm aware, I think it's individual here in UST. though I'm not sure kasi I'm a freshie

nope! enough na yung may basic knowledge sa pagdraw. you’ll learn other necessary skills along the way. helpful jf marunong ka na pero not necessarily required na magaling agad

@@luna_woof yes may uniform for f2f classes. for the schedule naman, paiba-iba kasi siya but most classes usually start around 7am and end by 5pm

hindi ako gaano familiar sa ICT :(( General Academic Strand ba meron kayo?
@@jhonaslagadiaperalta3041 meron paring writing sa course namin lalo na when it comes to analyzing designs o kaya naman explaining your own design concepts. pero usually hindi naman full length essays ang hinihingi. minor subjects namin ang matakaw sa essays 😂
nagapply ako sa ustar and ito yung second choice ko na course then first nursing (although arts and design strand ko).... medyo alangan kase ako kase puro youtube vids lang binibigay samen ngayon kaya i cant say na nagiimprove yung drawing ko 😭😭😭
it's really hard to tell whether you're improving or not. even us ngayon, yan yung isa sa biggest prob namin :(( super tagal ng feedback from some profs. pero it really helps when u ask other people around you to evaluate your works. still go for the option of consulting with your profs, kasi yun talaga best bet mo. and document your works lang. goodluck with your results, i hope all goes well ❤
