I was almost expecting you to say “The Quebecers, no not the Amazing French Canadians, the Quebecers” during the lead up section. The Hart brothers were both truly masters of their craft and definitely the best part of the New Generation Era in my opinion.

If he lived I think he could have gotten a great push to go against The Rock or HHH. He definitely had the skills and I think even Vince would have rewarded his loyalty after everything given more time. I think the Blue Blazer stuff was just kind of Gimmic because Vince and the bookers didn't really know what to do with him. Which is sad because he could have had great matches against anyone. Stone Cold vs Owen would have been awesome he had the charism to be a main eventer even though he was a smaller guy. Even later when guys like Chris Gherico got a push Owen would have done better. OWEN SHOULD HAVE WON!!!! I will keep saying this till I’m blue in the face… wwf 94 🔥🔥🔥🔥 until they gave the belt to Diesel… who I love! But it was too soon… outta left field… At the time.. Bret Owen was the main story… it was hot… The stage was set perfectly with all the outside interference Owen had on his side during that cage match… You have Owen win the belt with help from outside… Then you have Mania 11 With Bret going in down 0-2 beat Owen for belt.. That’s where all the momentum was… Not Shawn and Diesel.. That’s why 95 sucked… They got away from where the heat was….

If my sister was asked to take that fall I would have been pissed too. Those steel barricades are unforgiving. She could have broken her neck. Davey Boy was jacked to the gills '93-95. As a kid Bret Hart was always my favourite wrestler. Now that I've grown up he's only further distanced himself from all the others. His promos were no lie he is the best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be. Every one of his matches were excellently executed. Owen's body of work really has rocketed him up the ranks of my all-time favourites.
I could watch a Hart match any time.

I know it’s been said before but Owen was an amazing heel, had the ability to sucker the face in by backing off, whilst laughing. At times easily had the crowd in his palm. Loved both Bret and Owen when I was growing up. As always this channel shows why it’s one of the best wrestling channels on here…

That was the best time in wrestling, for me personally the best steel cage match in history. Die hard Hitman fan since 1989! The best period is from 80s to 1999!Bret got me to watch wrrestling 🤘That was still real good wrestling where the story was built super and the story was told very well in the ring!! The wrestling of today is like a circus and too much is done with high flying!!
I have the wwe network and only watch the 80s and 90s for years now .
This feud was just fantastic and my childhood , at that time i was 10 years old .
No Internet where you could read everything before it took place, as I said the best time🤘🤘

If Giant Gonzalez would have gotten into the cage with Loch Ness, THAT would have been the greatest cage match ever seen.
This is just the provisional best until that match finally takes place.

Man I'm glad there are still people out there who appreciate how great Bret Hart was and when I watch your videos it always brings a smile to my face when you give him the acknowledgements he deserves. As time has gone on his name has been mentioned less and less when people talk about some of the all time greats and I think this is in large part to how his career was cut short and the WCW run as well as the couple spots when he returned to WWE being far from his best work.

As a calgarian and knowing these boys from Stampede Wrestling you had no choice but to watch top-notch entertainment. All the top WWF guys came from Stampede Wrestling here in Calgary. . Okay... most of them. But this is what we watched on a weekly basis
Great psychology and storytelling. Stampede Wrestling had the best of everything. This is what we brought to the WWF.. as a calgarian I'm glad you enjoyed.

I was at this show. It was a great match. It was similar to the Bret Hart vs Shawn Michaels steel cage match that was at the Rosemont Horizon a year earlier. If I'm not mistaken, even the finish was pretty much the same as this one with Shawn Michaels hanging upside down with his leg through one of the bars while Bret Hart makes the full escape victory. STILL entertaining none the less. The WWE REALLY should have put the Hart vs Hart cage match as last match on the show, because the Undertaker vs Undertaker match was completely DREADFUL in comparison. There was NO way the two Undertakers were able to top the two Harts...

I was THERE at the United Center for SummerSlam 94. The cage match was the absolute highlight. The Undertaker v Undertaker match was right after that. I wondered at the time why there was so many attempts to get out. Also being up in the cheap seats, I didn't know that it was the Bulldog with the long hair. It was thunderous in the arena though when Bret won! Both men saved the show with this match.

A match that honestly shouldn't have been a feud ender as both men just kept trying to escape the cage rather than being anything worthy of a blood feud. Their Mania 10 match was waaaaay better.

100%. I was 12 when this took place and the Mania match blew me away. This cage match bored me because it made no sense. Built up all year to Bret finally cracking and wanting to fight Owen, only for them to have a stupid escape the cage match. I remember thinking how much better it would have been to see Owen submit in the cage, or to somehow beat Bret again and take the belt for a while.

When you consider how poor the WWF was in 95, I really wish they had kept pushing Owen, he could have had some classic matches with Bret, Shawn and even Diesel at the main event level, all competing for the title.
