I should stop being nervous but I did a quick weave pixie cut on myself yesterday and it came out decent to me. I am not a hair stylist or anything like that but I think every woman should know how to do her own hair or at least go to someone who does. Quick weaves are lol like their name suggest quick so it didn't take much time. The glue is annoying though. Instead of a regular wig cap I used a dome cap. Really that way I could take it off lol like a wig. I might do a mullet and or add color next time! I will use mousse and heat too!

I have never cut anything but just by looking at what she’s doing and the technique and then the way that she cuts. I think I can manage and come out with something thank you it’s very beautiful you did a wonderful job. Can you do a video showing us how to add the color pop I’m not sure if you already have.

I did it this year. its an old school hairstyle from the 80's.. that comes back around sometimes.

Mami what is that on the bottom next to her scalp? Is that a new way to do weaves instead of braiding cornrows down and sewing the weave on? I’m asking because my hair is super short infront and won’t grab for full cornrows to apply a see in weave Thank you 🙏🏽
Hi.. she has a shortcut, so I just braided as muchcascI could.. protect with paper, The way I InsTall. It will stay in place. If there is no hair in the back ,obviously you cannot sew.

Hi, I use paper towel instead of wrap strips because I have tried the wrap strips on myself,and i came to find that when i lay down, or going to sleep I HEAR CRUNCHING SOUNDS, it doesnt absorb your natural oils while your head is covered,probably a couple more reasons but those are the main ones. Use brown paper towel or napkins so you use less glue and it won't show thru the tracks.

What are the white papers you use to protect her real hair?
I like to use brown tissue paper...but regular paper towel is ok....they have paper towel in brown too.
How many bundles did u use for the longer pieces ? How man in Front and how many in back ?
I used 1 pack of Saga bundles by sensational...4 pieces came in the pack
10 10 12 12..I started with the 12 all the way up the middle then finished it off with the 10...i used 3 pieces out the pk.leaving only half of one of the 10'..I did not split the 1st few tracks,,but you must split some going uop...because you dont want itt to thick.
Did you split all the hair with the razor
I split some tracks in some areas...Not all.it depends on the style... you dont want to heavy or too thin.

Hey why do you wet it before cutting? What’s the difference between cutting it wet vs dry?
Well...I guess 1 of the reasons is because that's how I was taught in Beauty School...but what I like about it for me is that I can somehow see how the hair would fall way after the initial style...meaning I could actually see it by how it falls while it's wet...I will almost always go in after it's dry and clean it up...but I feel like cutting dry from the start gives to much Bluntness..and I'm really into caring about the style once the client leaves...it could also be one more thing...I went to a predominantly white hair school out here in Massachusetts...so im not sure if that's a factor...my cutting teacher was a white male....but he really taught us Alot & made it fun while doing it...I still use most of if not All of the skills he taught me.
Sorry for such a long reply...but I was also taught by a friend that was one of the Baddest in New York ( The Bronx)..where she did hair mostly for Dance hall goers? I wanna say...so in that scene the haircuts were really Ultimate...and she her name is Renee...always wet the hair also...so I guess it stuck with me.
@@elishahandlesit that makes sooo much sense. So you even do it wet with shaving down the sides like for the pixie cut? How do you stop from cutting too short while it’s wet so the track won’t be shown?
There is no difference. It's the stylist's preference. Some stylists like dry better, because you can see the cut better
@@familylife1326 i cannot see a cut...so just say preference....its way better when wet for me...i said thats how i was taught....soooo....most of the best stylist in the world cut wet hun...do research...i also stated i was taught by masters of cutting and none of them cut dry...have you ever heard of precision cuts? stacked curls that looks like dominoes?just learn hun...thnks for reply,,,and hope you became a Handler. its good to learn new ways of doing things,

Yes, I was amazed at how much likes this got. The cut was all over the place and the mullet just did not deliver in the end. I could go with the front and side angles. The back did not meet expectations. However, she’s out here doing her, and the client seems to like it. So I’m here for that win. Keep going hard!❤🎉
