i love the old dvd player sounds takes me back to simpler times looks like a real gem over all i used have a similar labtop probably still do somewhere this video makes me want to hunt one down rather i buy another one or find my old one
Note that virtualization doesn't need TPM, it needs CPU virtualization support :). You can usually Google and find the data sheet for your processor and see if it has virtualization support. In the BIOS that setting would usually be under the Advanced menu, rather than a security menu. Great videos btw, keep it up!
I have an 8560W that has the touchpad buttons that deteriorated. I commetned this on another video, but what I did was I used rubbing alcohol to soften the material, and then slowly shaved it all off with a library card (you can use a type of card of your choice -- credit, debit, whatever -- y'know) -- and it eventually brought me down to the bare plastic. It left an awkward gap between the buttons and the touchpad, but it still worked out in my favor, because now the buttons are just bare, normal plastic, that isn't sticky at all.
Overall, neat video, you've earned a subscriber! If you want a tad newer system id recommend looking at, the latitude e5430 has been quite nice system for me as someone who got one for free and repaired it. Beautiful system to work on, and does ubuntu 24.04 like a champ!

this is actually my main laptop! it runs fydeOS right now, and 8gb ram :3
If you can get one WITHOUT the GPU it's still totally viable, the ones WITH a GPU are battery hogs and heat up so much it slows down.

Love the wii channels music
Had a probook 5440b a few months ago, it looked very similar but had a 1st gen i5
It is like mine 8440p. On this laptop you can change the cpu, ils under the keyboard. I changed from an i5 to an i7.
I believe hp used this charger design for a while longer

Can I donate for a table?
I wonder what the performance would be like using a lite Linux distro for modern web pages.
I don't think it would be any better. The modern Web is just too bloated for these old machines.
I’ve already tried it. the old GPU is barely supported on any distro I’ve installed on it, so the performance is terrible.
Install gentoo.
