Just wanted to say that I LOVE how you narrated your reasoning for every option did and most importantly DIDNT take. Super helpful for me as an intermediate player looking to improve my build sets. Thanks so much for this!!
I like including zeus in this build. Prime 50 mana for the extra lightning bolts, beacuse we don't care about it, make the Cast ranged, could even take his curse effect somewhere. I believe its good stuff. Edit: Spirit surge is also really good
The ranged cast and the chain lightning are nice, but blitz can only be applied by the strike or flourish and you don't want either on them on here. I would probably favor Hestia more because she has both a ranged cast and a curse-cast and a relevant duo and sprint.
21:55 the minor/major find definition is definitely inconsistent. Double up can double the max health/magic rewards, but the arcana that changes minor finds into major finds can also give you max health/magic as the major find.
Double Up says it can hit minor finds *and similar reward resources,* not just minor finds. What it considers “similar” to minor finds is not clear at all, but there’s no contradiction.
A bit random, but I was so happy, knowing that I could use 'any' weapon to conquer 32 Fear. I was absolutely frustrated with weapons (torches), so it really helps to have the choice of weapon for 32 fear, at the very least.
Thanks for this. It'd be interesting to see a best builds for each of the other weapons even if they aren't quite as strong as this one. It serves as a really good starting point for how to make builds and what to look for
I randomly stumbled upon this build (but with just Mel's aspect) in one of my runs and Chronos said "What can Poseidon do for you?". And I was like: he is about to give you a bath, mf!
Another cool find is that echo's keepsake can give you Icarus and Artemis boons, it would be funny if it could also give narcisus , arachne and other npc boons such as hades boons
Balancing idea: Change double moonshot to rapid moonshot and you can channel your special for free and shoots around the same speed as double but can no longer use omega special
This would make it so you have a second of waiting before shooting fast and you lose out on omega special stuff so it’s a trade off rather than an absurd buff
Aspect of Pan/Daggers is pretty good for 32 Fear as well. I was having a hard time rolling Double Moonshot on the surface so I eventually beat Eris with Aspect of Pan instead of Momus.
Zeus is really strong on this build. In addition the the base build with Poseidon on special, I got: Spirit Surge (when you have no more than 10 Magick, all foes are occasionally struck by lightning. Double Strike. Lightning may strike 1 more time. Static Shock. Prime 20 Magick to make strikes enjoy chain lightning. Just lightning strikes at all times. I also got lucky with Double Moonshot and Rapid Moonfire hammers. Mean Streak from Hermes was pretty fun too since enemies quickly evaporate with this build, so locations with a ton of spawns really let this boon scale.
I imagine when they inevitably nerf Momus they're gonna make it so it only buffs Omega Special damage cause that seems more true to what they want you to be doing with it.
What is also considered a minor find by Double Up is the sack that you get when taking Mystery Boons at Charon, Narcissus' offering and Wells of Hermes. What a great uncle !
Glad to see that the new Aspect that I immediately chose as my favorite based on first impressions of all them (read: design) actually turned out to be one of the best ones!!! 🐍
I also really like the pain aspect build with poseidon special and the hammer that makes the omega special shoot in all directions outwards if you havent tried that. only downside is needing a lot of magic regen or omega magic reduction to use the omegas. for the cast to use the homing specials, i like using any throwable ones. could be fun to try if you haven’t!
Got my first Chronos win with this build! Not the fully maxed out version as I'm not there yet but even with only one level in Momus and basic level privileged status, I made it through! As I am not very good, I did have to use some death defiances but only two. Now I'm going to do the same with Soot Scorch for the dash and try to finally take out Eris who has been kicking my ass.
Would you possibly consider a video or a part in a TH-cam run dedicated to the Hades 2 chamber counts? It was a useful thing for 1 even if you had to do mental math but the convenience of it displayed means it's a lot easier to learn and utilize
let it be known that as of right now. hammer buff of psychic whirlwind breaks the axe aspect of thanatos and will not allow the crits to stack past 1 per whirlwind.

i did not understand the god pool concept explained around 10:20 why was poseidon garunteed on roll ? since you rejected demeter , i would assume any other gods not yet picked should be back on table ?
I'm not sure now that you ask, maybe miniboss doors and what they can roll into look at what gods you already have and will not offer more than the limit of 3... My experience told me that Poseidon was guaranteed but I had never really thought about it before.
Original door: Aphrodite, which officially joined the pool BC he bought her boon in the shop. First reroll: a god he didn't have yet. If he took it, it would have entered the pool. Second reroll: Poseidon, now guaranteed since he's already in the pool and the first two gods offered were rerolled.
There's an aphro boon that gives you all your life back if you end an encounter at 60% at epic, 50% with 1 (!) Pom invested. Which just means with momus you're always at full at the start of a room.
Just beat 32 fear for the first time as someone who was barely able to do 8 heat in hades 1. When showed not having death defiance I thought you were crazy, but I had them and did not use them. This build is actually crazy even with suboptimal hammers
My interpretation of why cyclone doesn't say curse is because it is not a curse in and of itself, but it applies a curse. It could be helpful to have it say it applies a curse that makes foes slower, but I don't believe it not being stated as a curse is a typo
ty for the guide! Tried it just now, took the frog and DD instead of Titan, same amount of health, but ending up not using the DD, b/c water fitness. Also got Demitor's Cyclone then Hestia's throwing cast later. Crop the special from the start and pom to 80 atk. Weridly also got Chaos's 3+ elements and Hermies Tall order at the same time. Got the same 2 hammers, in opposite order. Got Legendary and duo for steam...the game prob noticed its a bit over kill, cause I didn't get Hestia's scrorch cast. Did I mention there was also Chaos gate for 71% special damage... Edit, also forgot to mention Artimus supporting fire at 20...
Beat fear 32 with Momus (it was a huge rush)! The game never gave me the double moonshot hammer. I used Hera and Heph duo boon (200% damage on attack+special when not booned) and relied on Heph shields to soften the pain of getting 0 heals the entire run.
Zeus heph hera on aspect of medea was my first 32 fear clear in large part because of Hephaestus's defensive boons, and both of those Hephaestus duo boons really synergize well with that aspect. Went into the run with that build as the plan and unfortunately had to use all 3 god keepsakes to get it but it worked exactly as I planned it out and felt awesome.
For the most damage/fastest clear, the best way to do this build is to have White Antler keepsake on the whole time and pray for Poseidon (also don't take The Titan so you start at 30hp). Aphro special is really good with this build too, not as good as Poseidon but also an easy win. Double Moonshot is the easiest win but you can do fine without it, with only Shimmering and/or Rapid Moonshot
U can also buy a Charon buff that makes your next Charon well duration last 2 guardians, then buy chimaera jerky for the 40% special at any Charon well after the sirens that will last till the end of the game. And you can also stack multiple copies of this. Easy damage for 135g
Have you done any overworld runs that have made it to TH-cam? I really enjoy your insights, surpass my skill as they may (and ignoring the fact I can’t play the early access), and I would enjoy hearing your thoughts on the slightly different format the levels take in the alternative path
38:18 The possibility of getting the money bag mini boss in most runs prevents me from wanting to take the extra mini boss chambers even if it has a god i might still want. Maybe I just haven't figured the fight out yet, but since i tend to play with builds like medea skull where i'm staying up close, unless i have specifically the armor shredding hammers or demeter cyclones/freeze i always take too much damage from it dropping its coins and still don't have emough time to do meaningful damage before needing to hide from the lasers. That enemy has probably killed me the second most times of anything just under chronos himself, and thats with it being a completely avoidable fight that i don't try very often. Granted i'm doing 20+ fear runs with the 40% enemy speed which is probably particularly tough for that mini boss.
Just upgraded Momus two days ago and today it got changed completely 😮💨. So sad. Theory crafted a build using Zeus and air quality for good staff special damage. Wouldn't be bad, but doesn't compare to old Momus.
Id like to point out, that if you reach Tartarus and you are incredibly strong and know you can beat Chronos easily. You could take the extra rooms just to get more gold for Charon to buy materials you might still need for incantations etc.
got my first win on my 10th run with mostly this build, except with Hestia's cast and her's and Poseidon's duo boon instead of Poseidon's legendary, and no aspect ofc. Just goes to show how strong even a baby version of this setup is
I figure they'll change Double Moonshot to be around 30% less damage per projectile (e.g. Cluster Bomb from Hades 1). I think it would still be quite good even with a damage reduction.
Could you please make a tutorial focused on playing wit origination and some builds? I like this card but I have trouble using it out of demeter and hestia boons, as it's not easy to know what counts as a curse
@@Haelian Hey man! Thanks for answering, I've seen someone saying this in the subreddit and I tried to check which curses I could have in a build to apply. The difficult part is that Zeus blitz effect is not an easy curse to understand and there are some effects that does not synergize well like the steam one. Also, as you explained in this video, poseidon's curse is Slip, right? Not the wave effect itself (and only 1 skill has the slip effect). Also Hephaestus I couldn't identify his curse. Even for the ones I could identify a curse, how to use them in the build? Should I use the main god curse in my weapon main build strategy (regular/omega attacks and specials) and the secondary god curse in my sprint/cast for example? Also sprinting in this game is very confusing, I avoid sprinting into enemies if I don't have the poseidons' sprint. So maybe this could be a good subject to detail in a video! Thank you for sharing your knowledge, I've learnt a lot from watching your videos and streams and you helped me to understand more things about the game and beat chronos for the first time :D
hephaestus's curse is vent, applied from the furnace blast boon blitz from zeus is an effect that does nothing at first (other than count towards origination) but if the enemy takes a certain amount of damage while it's applied (i think 120?) then it deals a single hit of damage to them and then goes away. so you apply blitz, then deal 120 damage from any source (it can be multiple hits), and then blitz triggers and deals an additonal 100 (or more) damage and is removed. does that make sense?
You can still get 4 gods but you have to force it. You don't get fewer boons per run really, just fewer gods, wouldn't really call it a nerf but it's an interesting decision.
I did a run today with it, we only ended with 34% more damage from it by the end. It's probably near the bottom in terms of useful keepsakes. In comparison, you can get 40% passive crit from White Antler immediately so if you're going to go glass cannon, that's what you'd want to do.
I have a hard time understanding Hera cast. It says it does damage to everybody but is it everybody in the cast circle or is it damage to everybody in the room?
Question for any people that played the first game early access When the game got fully released did y’all have to start over or did your progress from early access carry over to the full release update?
+30 damage to an attack that only does 10 at base is insane, that is 4x damage, they turn that flat damage into a percentage instead, would also make the omega special better, i think the number would need to be like 100% increased damage or so at max level
I paired poseidon with hestia and zeus and just deleted everything as soon as I entered the map. So.much.damage... my first 32 fear What a strat, works so well with so many combinations...
Yeah, I didn't get double moonshot my first run with this, in fact I only got the hammer that gives like 10% special damage and it bounces to 2 other foes. Didn't even get king tide and it still was one of the easiest runs I've had at like 16 heat
When you only had poseidon and aphrodite boons, why was the demeter door guaranteed to change into poseidon, and not into some other god you haven't encountered yet like zeus?
It's a good question and I don't really have an explanation now that I think about it. I guess in my experience (which isn't bullet proof), miniboss doors tend to roll in the pattern seen here.
New patch came out and although it made great adjustments, I didnt use the Momus staff for a 32 heat run! What is looking to be the new best high heat tools?
I literally went into the game to try this, and there was an update. This is no longer a thing. The aspect of momus doesn't do this anymore. The description changed. It no longer heals or has the special power damage. Now it says omega moves each fires in place up to 3 times until you use it again. Bummer man.
Scorch is underwhelming relative to the other gods for the moment. The damage ticks too slowly in comparison to just getting the damage immediately from someone like Poseidon.
I dont think its the strongest build but the easiest to get high dps consistently. I did a Golden Rule build on Melinoe daggers and got it up to 7100 gold. With no attack boon, I was doing 400 plus per hit. I think that Duo has the highest dps potential in the game.
I think it's debatable as far as consistency. Momus really really wants Double Moonshot. Pan Daggers have at least 4 hammers that all make a big difference to that build, with the only downside being needing to cast or be at close range to hit with all knives.
Usually things in hades are considered strong for how easy it is for a build to activate rather than maximum potential. You need a lot of stuff before the hoarding gold duo boon comes close to aspect of momus which wants basically just poseidon special + double moonshot hammer + any status cast for origination and it becomes good enough for the first two regions with just either poseidon special OR double moonshot which makes it great for high heat runs.
I used it today with Heroic Wave Florish to manage 32 heat on the surface, I'm so tired of fighting Eris, that hoe. oddly enough 32 heat Chronos was pretty chill in comparison
the strongest build is the friends we're making along the way

When the game got fully released did y’all have to start over or did your progress from early access carry over to the full release update?
Nope, progress carries over.
+30 damage to an attack that only does 10 at base is insane, that is 4x damage, they turn that flat damage into a percentage instead, would also make the omega special better, i think the number would need to be like 100% increased damage or so at max level
I had no clue the cat gave a death defiance. No wonder you’re always using it
I paired poseidon with hestia and zeus and just deleted everything as soon as I entered the map. So.much.damage... my first 32 fear
What a strat, works so well with so many combinations...
Just used this to beat 32 fear!
New patch came out and although it made great adjustments, I didnt use the Momus staff for a 32 heat run! What is looking to be the new best high heat tools?
i think maybe if u get the aprho and posiden duo boon then the special is slightly higher dmg
why are these work as homing missiles. mine don't do that. they go in a straight line
The Double Moonshot hammer at 5:18. The special seeks foes along with firing two projectiles
@@varisduran1161 missed it. thanks
i really like to only have 30 health to just pick white atler after the first boss. alway 40% crit is insane.
Is 10 second impervious from engraved pin really better than 101 health from Skelly keepsake? If we're fighting Chronos for example.
Bc ive not leveled up the pin that much currently
Pin can trigger once per chamber so that's what typically pushes it over.
i think a good way to nerf this aspect is by making the special just a little less spammy and making the second projectile deal less damage
I just opened the game and they changed aspect of momus completely T.T
Off topic but has anyone else never seen Glass Rock in this game? I've completed Mourning Fields 20-30 times and have never seen any.
What about triple damage from Hera Hephaestus duo boon
What about Aphrodite special plus Poseidon duo where it treat all foes nearby?
Not as good as Poseidon still probably, a long set up isn't typically worth over something that is immediately good.
Most damage suffered by Aphrodite. Thanks for the help, I guess.
I literally went into the game to try this, and there was an update. This is no longer a thing. The aspect of momus doesn't do this anymore. The description changed. It no longer heals or has the special power damage. Now it says omega moves each fires in place up to 3 times until you use it again. Bummer man.
Sorry
this is nerfed right?
Well at least I tried it once and now its gone and patched away 😢
can you still take prime boons with no mana?
Yup
i thought persentage was stronger since the damage is already so high? appolo
Nah Poseidon better because of how rapid you throw projectiles. Faster attack speed = on-hit effects are stronger.
I'm soaked...
Why would hestia be bad on special here?
Scorch is underwhelming relative to the other gods for the moment. The damage ticks too slowly in comparison to just getting the damage immediately from someone like Poseidon.
32 fear guides for both routes pls2 heat guid
I have a 32 Fear guide here already, it works for both routes.
Hello
I used it today with Heroic Wave Florish to manage 32 heat on the surface, I'm so tired of fighting Eris, that hoe. oddly enough 32 heat Chronos was pretty chill in comparison
This build is broken
