Hello. My dad retired for good and stayed in the Philippines. I kept his Kaiser health insurance. He hasn't been back here for the last two years. Is he still covered? I'm still paying for his premiums. I don't think he will ever come back here to the state. You said urgent care and ER visits will be reimbursed if needed. Since he hasn't been back in the States for the last two years and isn't planning to ever come back here, will this affect reimbursement for the cost of urgent care and ER visits?
If premiums are still paid yes he still can use his Kaiser insurance when he is in the US but for emergency and urgent care only here in the Phils.
If you are 65 or older, you are covered by Medicare. If you are under 65- you pay out of pocket if you retire early. You get Kaiser for life if you are a doctor or same. Wifey works for Kaiser for last 25 years as RN. And if we retire earlier than 65, we have to pay for our coverage before turning 65. If you are sickly, better stay on some kind of health coverage. LOL.
If your wife started Kaiser in the 70s or early 80’s as an RN u guys can be covered for life otherwise out of pocket until you can be covered by Medicare
@@LouieBoy I already said the last 25 years she worked for Kaiser. WE plan to retire early too maybe 62 or thereabouts. WE have a large farm in the Phils to keep us busy when time comes. Anyway - the health insurance is still an issue if you are not 65 and w/o medicare. WE can do agency travel for work but half-time to have money for coverage is what we plan. best -
Madali lang ang process ng dual. We completed it in one day. Go to Philippine consulate website. You can make appt and get info kung anong papers kailangan. Have a dollar account in the Philippines. You can wire or deposit with a check to your dollar acct in the Philippines. We kept our US bank accts so doon lang ang pension and ss
Congratulations & God Bless you for achieving the American dream.... and YES! kuya Louie and sis Gerlyn.... whatever others can/will say.... no one can argue... that the USA is still the most generous and welcoming country in the world...
Gherlyn so kung emergency and urgent care reimbursable sa kaiser so that means you need to have the money first para tanggapin ka sa kahit saan hospital right? Tama Louie Boy “an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure” di ba? Di bale oa sa health kesa balewalain. Kaya dapat meron kang naka handa pera or credit card for emergencies. And I do plan to also keep Kaiser kasi minimal din ang bayad namin because I retired from the state medical facility.

Hahahaha! Yup I was with Kaiser for 33 yrs..but did not get the lifetime health benefits. I was hired 1988 and I missed being “grandfathered “ by just a month.
Dinala namin sa mlapit na hospital (Bocaue,Bul). 1st hospital ayaw mag admit full bed capacity na at no ICU. 2nd hospital no ICU, no ct scan, no dr at the moment. 3rd hospital di kami makakadaan at baha. Yung 2 doctor after 2 days lang lumitaw, by phone lang instructions. Kaya pag may emergency kayo do not hesitate go to St. Lukes BGC, Makati Med at ibang malalaking hospital sa Manila. They have a lot better services there. Papatayin tayo ng mga hospital sa probinsya.
That’s sad. Good na ok na sya. Thank u Lord.
Would you be filing federal and state tax? if yes, is there not a question as to whether you stay over six months in california to be able to say you are a california resident and required to file? otherwise it is not required to file?
This is my favorite video of yours! Very informative and motivational. I'm happy that you did this because me and my husband are retiring to the Philippines within 5 years. We're excited and I'M MORE EXCITING now that I'm more educated from you guys. We've been working here in California for more than 38 years. We've been happily (98%) married for 27 years. I never missed of your videos. Always watch it every morning before I go to work. My husband watch them with me. Please give Sky a SPECIAL hug and kiss for me. We have a dog too (dachshund) named Lil Bat. Thank you guys for the guidance in today's video. I appreciate you Louie and Gerlyn.
