    • @Giants4Life
      @Giants4Life ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not really. Watching this with what we know now with his career makes it easier to call some of this stuff out…but his handle isn’t that good, it’s the same dribble crossover moves almost every time. You also aren’t getting away with sloppily dribbling through defenders at the next level just by being quicker than guys in high school. He has some nice passes to wide open guys…in high school. We’re we supposed to expect him to be able to get these shots off or separation at the next level? Look at his frame…too small. Too many guys his size in the NBA with legit bulk and more length. I’m not a 12 year NBA veteran, but it makes you wonder how long he would have been around if not for his daddy.

    Austin rivers suffers from the skip Bayless curse:
    Skip bayless: Austin is going to be a star!
    4 years later= bust
    Skip bayless: Tim Tebow is a winner all he does is win:
    3 years later: cut by the new England Patriots and eagles:

    • @mUsr001
      @mUsr001 8 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      no he was not..
      he was a 10th draft pick.
      worse case scenario- cut from the nba
      best case scenario- jeff teague, kemba walker level of play
      realistic scenario - solid NBA player who will probably have a 10+ seasons career
      he is now a solid NBA player who is in the rotation of a contender

      Technically he was right about Tebow. All he did was win until he got cut 🤷🏾‍♂️ Took a trash team to the playoffs and beat one of the best teams, and had a great game against the Patriots.
      At that time he accomplished more in half a season as a backup QB than Matt Ryan, Cam Newton and many other "star" quarterbacks but never got another shot

At the college and pro level, there will be quicker, more tenacious defenders/defenses that will push him left. Sure, he's really dominant without it, but he will have to use his left more often at superior levels.

    Austin Rivers is pretty awesome and probably will be a great player in the NBA one day. He needs to work on two weaknesses. 1) Majority of the time he beats his opponent to the left then move in for the lay up or dunk. 2) If he doesn't beat you left, he fakes right and pull back for the jumper. Watch the video its hard to miss.

    For all the people that talk trash about him... Um, I'm sorry, did you play at Duke and start as a freshman, we're you the 10th pick in the nba draft... I don't think so

    for people saying austin rivers is a bust you need to have your head examined. no one ever thought he was going to be a derrick rose or westbrook. he's a solid nba player learning from two of the best in chris paul and his father, doc. he has gotten better every year and will make a good starting point guard somewhere down the line. stop hating

    Everyone saying hes a bust and he sucks in the nba is dumb. He should have stayed longer in college but hes still super young and just needs to develop . Hes playing well this season tho

    People say he's cocky, but I just see it as confidence. If you put in the hard work and you get the results, why not be? Ballislife #Duke

    Exactly. Some players just need time to develop.
