About MASHLE: MAGIC AND MUSCLES
This is a world of magic.
This is a world in which magic is casually used by everyone.
In a deep, dark forest in this world of magic, there is a boy who is single-mindedly working out.
His name is Mash Burnedead, and he has a secret. He can’t use magic.
All he wanted was to live a quiet life with his family, but people suddenly start trying to kill him one day and he somehow finds himself enrolled in Magic School. There, he sets his sights on becoming a “Divine Visionary,” the elite of the elite.

This is why I hate the dub vs sub debate, just by watching this you can really see the respect from actor to actor regardless the language. Just really wish all anime fans could see this same understanding and respect.
I mean people can still have a preference and talk about which they prefer, regardless of whether the VAs respect each other or not

Being fair, there's localizers and the like who... REALLY butcher the translations at times, to a point where it's caused controversy (like trying to turn a manga/light novel about a crossdresser into a story on a trans person). But, generally, the dub voice actors aren't to blame (unless they personally... insert their own lines into the role).
We need to see more of this Eng and JP VAs meeting each other

I kept looking at their ears for earpieces because they both talked so long in foreign languages without pausing for translation. The translator's memory must be insanely good.

Japanese interviews are mostly scripted to the tee. They already know what the questions are, and what to say to said questions. It was likely already rehearsed as well, based on some interviews about... interviews.

It is great to see both voice actors meet in person.
I feel like these two are very similar people! They were both into voice acting/actors and anime very young, and in a few short years, both have seen a lot of success in their young age. Kobayashi-san would work at the pharmacy and serve seiyuu there (it was near a recording studio) and would internally geek out but not say anything, and at the same time, I believe Aleks could barely afford a ticket to AX since he was trying to get a recording mic. I was at the Mashle panel at AX, and it was so entertaining to hear these two interact in-person. They really have immense amounts of respect for each other! Thank you so much for voice actor/seiyuu content!! This video was wonderful and soo interesting to watch~

Youll be surprised by how many dubs dont do this, and a lot of times its not the fault of the actors but the directors
Chiaki Kobayashi…I cannot unhear him as Adachi from Cherry Magic…I can see that Adachi’s voice is pretty close to Kobayashi’s natural speaking tone. I can imagine a lot of funny faces of Kobayashi recording for Adachi for comedic moments.

what they didn't tell in this streaming for auditoning in japan some directors and maybe some mangaka, writer or scripwriter prefer a specific seiyuu for voicing specific character but still asked them to join audition & by default choose that person when they done the audition, even in our opinion maybe other seiyuu more suited to voicing that character than their preference

Does he do both voices of zenitsu if so he's super talented I know he does the serious/sleep voice, and for sung he did both the wimpy and leveled up voice but zenitsus voice change is so drastic

What a cool idea.
you can clearly see the reason why dub doesn't have what sub had, and it was their concept of recording, in which japanese dub does it with all the cast to have the feel of it and synch in acting it together, whilst english dub ends up looking like a fan made dub sometimes, which is why dragon ball really had great dubs because they'd record it together (Z), unlike most of dubs right now where they are pretty much recorded alone.

sub is always better. is pretty apparent how kobayashi explains it all. they see the video as its being made and record around it with the whole cast. thats why sub fits so perfectly and dub feels misplaced at times

That's why Japanese dubs are superior. Cause the whole cast comes together and u can feel the chemistry among the characters...... it sounds far more authentic than the English dubs.....
