A-Train used it like steroids to get a competitive edge (and experienced the side effects) and Pop Claw (who seems to have been using it to deal with depression...and lost control of her amped up powers.) Butcher hating Suoes makes sense. It's not just Homelander. Butcher's seen all of the collateral damage that the Supes have caused (that most people never hear of.) That - combined with his seething hatred for Homelander and apparently most Supes just playing at being heroes - would easily convince a Butcher that ALL Supes were dangerous pieces of shit. As far as Mesmer, he's played by Haley Joel Osment (the kid from The Sixth Sense.)

My favorite character in the show is Homelander cause I think he has the most interesting story. These guys over analyze things and while they are doin so they miss out on details in the episodes. Rob is right about Homelander as a great villain as well. He does things that a great villain would but as the show goes on u start to sympathize with his character and kinda understand why he is the way he is because of his up bringing. I’m mean that would mess up anyone being raised in a lab like that and treated like a weapon. But like the reactions. Can’t wait to see what season 2 brings. Love this show.

Black Noir is not Black in the comics. (sorry) But I won't spoil who and what he really is. However, the Amazon series is changing a lot of stuff.
In the comic book that this show is based on, Hughie and Butcher and the rest of the Boys actually inject themselves with Compound V in order to fight Supes hand to hand. I don't know how or where the show will go, as it is altering much from the books, but I do hope that they do this story line. I really wanna see The Boys kick ass.
