After playing Creature Comforts for very long time, to the point of seeing few mechanical flaws mentioned nowhere in the reviews we decided to go for a Maple Valley - with the top notch version with all the wooden elements and perks of kickstarter version. Man...what a let down. I'm super happy to see that you pointed the same cons as we do. For me this is like an unfinished product released in hurry without testing. I don't see the point of so many elements inside the game if the 5day cycle is not allowing you to fully enjoy ANYTHING. The game ends when it starts to have some first fun elements. First 2 out of 5 days is a pure waste of time as everyone is rushing toward the top of the board to get new friend. This friend (if you dont have a rare perks saying that you can use it immidietally) is useable upon next day. So you start another day and at this point you realized that having more friends is more fun in the game so what you do ? Rush to the top of the board (or doing circles using maps) - anyways this game is complete bulls**t - I'm really disapointed as CC was one of my very top games.
Creature Comforts has eight different resources) After two games I was enjoyed but it was a little more difficult to manage resources than in Creature Comforts

I just got the KS version of Creature Comforts, and I will likely get Maple Valley sometime soon

Really enjoyed this and Creature Comforts. Both super cute medium-light games that family gamers will loooooooooooove
Creature Comforts or Maple Valley?
Over Nine Thousand!!!!!🗣
Good comments on the samey start and making them starting ressources and just starting with the interesting turns.
Seems eminently skippable.
